Our sphere shape planet has changed its shape from a sphere to oblique shape and its a bit fatter south of the equator and a bit thinner north of the equator. That is the opinion of Neil Degrasse Tyson who went on to agree with the interviewer that it was more pear shape sctatchinghead

You can't understand that we are finding new and more accurate ways of measuring the shape of the earth?

Not really difficult to understand, is it? sctatchinghead

Are you for real sctatchinghead "finding new and more accurate ways of measuring the shape of the Earth" The pictures taken from the Apollo missions clearly show a perfect sphere  So you must also believe the shape has changed dramatically in 50 years sctatchinghead

But if the equator is 20 miles higher than the poles you should be able to roll all the way from Quito to Nuuk without peddling!!!

The Flat Earth Conference costs £120 to attend.

I might set up a round Earth one as I reckon I’d have loads more content involving facts and evidence. I reckon could charge about a grand. One of the most hilarious aspects they peddle is that all the pictures of Earth are by NASA which have been doctored. Ignoring the thousands of independant satalites that send images back to Earth every single day. They tend to show a round Earth.

How many people are in on this lie? Nobody has ever pointed out what is to be gained from this lie by anyone?

What is to be gained from Flat Earth, £120 per mug.

If it is round i still dont get it why some people have not fell off eg Australians, unless its to do with this?

Sir Isaac Newton told us why
An apple falls down from the sky
And from this fact, it's very plain,
All other objects do the same
A brick, a bolt, a bar, a cup,
Invariably fall down, not up
And every common working tool
Is governed by the self-same rule
So when you handle tools up there,
Let your watchword be, "Take Care!"
If at work, you drop a spanner,
It travels in a downward manner
At work, a fifth of accidents or more,
Illustrate old Newton's law
But one thing he forgot to add,
The damage won't be half as bad
If you are wearing proper clothes,
Especially on your head and toes
These hats and shoes are there to save
The wearer from an early grave
So best feet forward and take care
About the kind of shoes you wear
It's better to be sure, than dead,
So get a hat and keep your head

Don't think to go without is brave;
The effects of gravity can be grave.

Eh? You do realise that the difference between the equatorial and polar diameters is something less than half of one percent?

Everdently not

Aaahhh...public information film from the 1970's warning of the hazards that gravity brings at work. Anyway, on the subject of the shape of the Earth I prefer to go along with Sir Bedevere from Monty Python and The Holy Grail that it's banana shaped.

Latest updates from this years Flat Earth conference in Birmingham;

https://www.iflscience.com/editors-blog ... ncredible/

So continuous East to West travel has now been explained, you go off the side and turn up out of the other. Like on Pac-Man. Seems plausible.

Oh and Australia doesn’t actually exist. All Australians are actually either actors or computer generated. I feel sorry for the person that has to play David Warner.

These people are surely just part of a wind up and they have suckered a few bonkers gullible mugs into believing?

You said the earth was flat, but now say it is sphere shaped. Contradiction. A wind up.

The flat earth society has members all around the word, so they say

Should the flat earth society not say it has members "across" the world rather than "around" the world?

My Dad was a ship's engineer. One of his regular routes was to Australia/NZ then back through the Panama Canal and then via New York to Hull!
His ship never fell over the edge of the world once.
Unless of course it did and he was abducted by aliens and the bloke we knew was an alien double which would explain a lot.

Just a thought, but if the earth was flat, what's on the 'B' side? Is it the damp proof course or are we living on a giant LP? We should be told.

It the PAC-Man effect Snowy the ship disappeared to the East of fake Australia then reappeared off the West Coast of South America with loads of different colored ghosts.

Your Dad was one of the hundreds of millions in on this keeping us all in the dark.

I remember him going on once about staring into the abyss, going over the edge and dropping out of excistence and the end of the world... turns out it was him going on about our re-election prospects in the early 70's.
