Top signing for this level. He’s no nonsense as well and a leader exactly what we need.

While it is important that he stays fit his past record is not relevant unless it hampers his ability. One of the best Pools central defenders joined after we took a risk and paid back his insurance money and he gave two years of good service and was loved by all,a proper football hard man Mick Smith.

Davies doesn’t really have a bad record with injuries he’s played about 200 games in the last six years.

He might bring out the best in Laing.

Thanks all the same but I'd prefer to see Andrew Davies form an effective partnership with Myles Anderson and Louis Laing to find himself a new club.

Well done Pools for getting the Davies transfer over the line.

I’d imagine it’d be Davies and Magnay as central defence, possibly Anderson too as a back 3, and use wingbacks for width. The lad from Gateshead on left with Richardson right?
Gives us good options actually.

Cracking signing, I'd say as good as we could make in the position we're in.

As for him bringing out the best in Laing, I'd say his best chance there is by driving him to his interview at Asdas.

Everyone knows it's 'The Asda'

Sorry, I reverted to what my nanna called it years ago. It's my one memory of her but don't let that affect your criticism.

He got sent off for stamping on Scott Browns testicals last season, fair play to him on not passing up such an opportunity.

Ah Scott Brown, like the Scottish Vinny Jones without the talent.

To be fair, it wasn't a criticism, it was a correction

Where do they get these refs? Brown clearly fell on Davies' foot. VAR would have spotted the mistake. clappp

Firm but fair - he went in with his bollocks raised and Davies had no choice but to defend himself by placing his studs on the dangerous gonads.

good signing on paper so hopefully hits ground running.

that tackle albeit on a not so nice person, hopefully isn't replicated this season. Rather be keeping 11 men on pitch however hopefully adds a bit of dirtiness to the team. We have been soft as shit for years

How long did he serve in jail for that tackle?

Couldn't of happened to a nicer bloke like, Scott Brown has inflicted injury on many a player deliberately, so what goes around …..
