Decent result , 4-0 winners and a goal each for Hawkins, James, Muir and Cassidy

21 players there (or 22 if you include Munns who is not on the list, although that does include the Greek trialist)

Interesting problem for Bates to pick a starting 11 if non of the transfer listed players go (no enquiry calls have been taken for any of them).

Think both of the trialists deserve a contract, Dimi seems a tidy player although Shildon were knackered after about 20mins!

So we beat Shildon but where were the Presidents of State? What time's the parade down Church Street? Football matches need politicians and parades or they don't count.
And was there a proper Golden Boot ceremony?

From the highlights the strikersseemed to be working much harder creating chances for each other rather than all the tip tap stuff of last season with no support for Cassidy. He looked a much better player than he was a year ago it seems a pity that only two of James, Muir and cassidy will play although it certainly means competition for places. The playing of wing backs appears to be theway to go and Kios certainly seems a gem but remember he is still learning his trade so understanding pleas.
