Just wondering whether Southgate's immaculate attire is deliberately intended to take the piss out of the scruffiest coach ever in the history of football. I probably don't need to specify who that is but we are sure going to knack them if we both reach the final.

Why do we continue with the illusion we are a quality team, since 1996 we've won the grand total of six knockout games, with Spain being the biggest scalp amongst them and the other behemoths include Paraguay and Ecuador

If players like Rashford and Henderson are the answer, I'm buggered if I know what the question being asked is

Was the question about Henderson-who's been one of the best central midfielders at the World Cup?
Also what do you reckon her majesty's knockers will look like?

I know it's wrong but I was creased with laughter at a Youtube video of England fans facing off against Swedish fans. To the tune of Go West: “You're shit, but your birds are fit".

The concerns were justified after his performance against Belgium, he looked well dodgy have had nothing to do in previous games but what character he's shown and he looks like he's growing and loving every minute on the biggest stage. I think giving him man of the match yesterday gives a bit of a misleading narrative though. Yes he made three good saves one excellent one the low down to his right save just after Alii scored, the save from the header and the tip over you'd expect your keeper to make but it just suggests Sweden were in the game more than they actually were, I'd have given the MOTM to an outfield player, probably Henderson he did everything he was asked to very well though and has been brilliant. Credit to Southgate again, if Fat Head Sam had taken us to Russia we'd be home now and the likes of Rooney and Hart would have been still in the team.

The social media shite about Stirling continues. He finished bottom of the player ratings on the BBC website as he has every game apparently, anyone who thinks he was England's worst player yesterday shouldn't be allowed to watch any more of the World Cup. Sweden are a notoriously tough team to break down England pulled them all over and they were absolutely terrified of Stirlings pace, he was really unlucky with the chance were the keeper came out to close him down, his movement and first touch was excellent it was isn't quite happening for him in front of goal. He is one of the first names on the team sheet though however much clueless tripe the haters say and absolutely pivotal to how England set up. I don't get the mindset of individuals who always look for a negative, who always seek a target. Especially when the team have achieved something they haven't for nearly 30 years it's absolutely pathetic, clueless bellenders.

Do be careful,Monty . The Police had their batons out in upmarket Benidorm yesterday. Thankfully the rolls of fat on some of our lads saved them from more serious injury.

Don't be bullied by PJ into sharing his views

Sterling ran himself into the ground, his poor finishing still evident but no one can argue he wasn't instrumental in the team performance. I'm desperate for him to score, Alli has finally turned up now the big games have started and I'm getting more and more excited by the team rather than any one individual.

I’m not sure his poor finishing was evident yesterday he had the one were the keeper did well his touch was excellent from the long ball he did nothing wrong it just didn’t quite fall right and the ‘chance’ when he was miles offside and he knew he was.

I know it’s about the team but I’m puzzled why a vital cog in the system is constantly singled out?

The only thing Sterling did wrong was not pass to Kane after the keeper had closed him down.

Rashford ties em up and plays with them for fun sctatchinghead ...We'd have to ask Wommers if he's worth at least 20 minutes on the pitch though.

Writing Pickford off as ‘nowhere near good enough’ after a B team game we went out to lose is why.
He’s been the best English keeper in the Premiership for the last couple of seasons playing for poor teams.

I reckon theirs been a double overreaction towards Pickford, maybe trying to say he should have saved the goal was over the top but I think concerns about his performance were fair. He was pushing routine saves back into danger, basic stuff. But nobody’s slaughtered him either so those defending him on his behalf are probably also over reacting as well. The goal wasn’t a howler at all it was one of those that was a good strike but you’re looking thinking ‘could he have done better’

He might be one day but he’s not an International class keeper yet, he’s not proven himself as a top quality Premier League keeper yet really. His potential is clear though and I can see why Southgate is picking him it’s bold and it fits into his style of play because his distribution is just about the strongest area of his game. It’s great to see an England manager being brave in selection and progressive tactically and wanting us to play football. If Fat head Sam was in charge I’m sure a shot to bits Joe Hart would be in goal and Rooney captain. So I’m not saying drop him or he shouldn’t be there it’s just where England are keeper wise at this time.

In time I’m sure he can tighten up the other areas of his game but for now in this in this tournament aspects of his performance were a concern against Belgium. I can see where Gary Neville was coming from as an ex England defender with 85 caps regarding his performance but I’m sure everyone is behind the lad and wants him to do well though.

Are you ignoring that post I made after the Belgium game then? I made that comment during it, you are always a bit less considered in the moment, and his performance wasn’t great. He’s been brilliant when called upon in the last two games and shown a real mental toughness I couldn’t be happier to see a young lad in an England shirt do that.

The Croatia keeper looks dodgy? That Subasic fella who has saved 1 in 3 of all the penalties he's faced, including 3 in the penalty shootout against Denmark and 1 in the shoot out against Russia when he was injured? Best just beat them in normal time then :-)

He was too far off his line it was nowhere near the corner, it was a routine save if he wasn’t that far out. Decent strike but not great keeping he had a few other dodgy moments plus people need to stop pulling up posts I make during games, especially from Saturday as judging by how I felt yesterday I was almost certainly pissed and looking for angles to justify why it would be better to play Croatia even though they are a miles better team than Russia. Plus my Nana would have saved the penalty in the shoot out it was an absolute shocker. The blokes a clown, the Croatian Jan Budtz.

These tickets for the final promised to those adventurous Thai lads, now they're almost all out of the cave it's become clear they won't be medically fit to attend the match. Anyone got Infantino's number? I can get stuck in my garage between tomorrow night and Saturday if it helps my cause.

Tight game tonight but the better all round team went through for me, it didn’t quite happen for Hazard and De Bruyne on a night when I think it had to be on the top of their game, not for the want of trying De Bruyne was about 6 inches away from the best pass I have ever seen late on.

But whoever beats France deserves to win the World Cup, they have no real weakness, maybe ther lack a World Class number 9, but Mbappe and Griezmann more than compensate for that and the midfield and defence are disciplined and strong. It’s obviously coming home but they must be quite big favourites to win it, mind they were against Portugal two years ago with home advantage.

France didn't impress me enough to scare me if they play England. They were overrun in the first half by a Belgian team who had the misfortune to leave their shooting boots at home. I'd much rather play and beat France in the final.

I’d rather beat them because it’s France but I think they have become a team that tend to do enough rather than overly impress which is often the key, Mbappe does overtly impress me by the way! 19!!?

Croatia will be tough, but France I think would have been my second choice. They have pace we have not faced that defensively yet. Belgium have been outstanding though I almost think they have too many options though especially in midfield and Martinez didn’t know his best combination. Fellaini was a good pick against Brazil but I’m not sure he was tonight.

We've done well this time by concentrating on beating what's in front of us, to look beyond that is foolish, lets get Croatia dispatched in any way we can then wallow in the glory of the final.

France are strong in almost every area. They didn't impress as they were playing another top side in my opinion. The only weakness I could see were left back and the goalkeeper who has a mistake in him but is still very good. Thankfully that's two more weaknesses than we have.

If we get there it's one game, anything can happen. Got a very good, if a little tired, Croatia side to beat tonight.

France gave Belgium a huge amount of respect and pretty much shut up shop once they got their noses in front. Despite having some great attacking players it's not Deschamps' style to try to flatten opponents and if it does turn out to be an England - France Final it could be a very cagey affair till the first goal. Hopefully that would come in the 89th minute via Harry Kane!

But first, Croatia...

The main culprit was Danny Murphy. The Beeb seem to have got shot of Danny Mills, be great if it was #Time's Up for the other Danny's no-insights commentating career.

Again a blatant(at least it should of been to VAR) dive results in a goal and goes unpunished. Not against France as they've got a fantastic team that I would of fancied against England, but I can't stand cheating.

Can't argue with the pen but it took one replay for me not 10 that the VAR team and ref needed.

It’s never a penalty. He can’t see the ball because of the player in front of him.

How is that a clear and obvious error?

Well despite being in the minority I'd be pissed off that a player clearly lowers his hand in an unnatural motion, as they say these days, to stop ball. It may not have been intentional but it was certainly instinctive.

I can, I just did it to prove a point!
His leg came up at the same time, his arm came down very quickly. I just think it was instinctive when the ball hit Matuidi.
