Mark Kitching, left sided player most comfortable at left back. Came through Boros ranks played 23 games in League One for Rochdale last season.

Looks a big lad alongside Bates in picture on official site,it appears he can play any where on the left flank so we should not need to be playing people on the wrong footed side so to speak. Now all we need is a strike partner for Muir or play Cassidy as an out and out target man with Muir feeding off him. Certainly starting to look better, then just loose the dead wood.

Looks like another very promising signing.

Last season Pools' back four was a pushover for National League sides playing a couple of big lumps up front - Pools are gonna be a different proposition come August!

Quite a few of the Rochdale fans were surprised to see him released. Sounds positive and we have a nice balance to the squad now. Just another striker or 2 to go!

Posts on the Rochdale site seemed very surprised that they let him go last season, seems very well thought of over there.

Tall enough to defend against those difficult cross field balls.
