Sent someone to meet to Paul Heckingbottom while he was on holiday to sack him  Imagine that conversation “Hi Paul are you having a nice time!?”

Mind he did get a good run at the job, four months and 16 games by recent Leeds standards that’s testimonial territory.

I fully expected him to get the boot to be fair. Leeds have been utter bobbins with him in charge. When he was appointed I couldn't believe Leeds paid 500k to Barnsley to release him from his contract. Very, very odd apointment in the first place.

Changing the subject a bit, I also can't understand why a Premiershit team hasn't gone for Gary Rowett before now as opposed to the constant recycling of the same 5 or 6 managers with Premiershit experience.

For a horrible moment there I thought Leeds had agreed to a 'friendly' with Pools. No such thing where their fans are concerned.

I thought it was a strange decision, when he got appointed as Barnsley were struggling and relegated now.
I suppose he will walk away with a decent compensation deal, no other profession do you get paid for failure and it’s the fans who pay for it.

He did a decent job at Barnsley didn't he? I thought he got promoted and then kept them up despite his best players being sold. As for him being sacked, serves him right for taking over Leeds.

I fully expected him to get the boot as it’s Leeds and they are fuckin mental.

Leeds managerial merry go round is a strange one. Why managers would go there. Job security expectancy must be months and board expectancy must be to win every game 5-0. Managers must fancy the challenge of taking them to the promised land, or know for a few months work they will get a nice little earner. I suppose being sacked by Leeds after a few games will not look bad on a cv these days.

Edited for accuracy.

They’ll get through three or four by the end of next season.
