Whats the fascination? It's rank and makes your piss smell! I remember the good old days when only the Rich and Southerners could afford this abomination. Now its everywhere, in every supermarket, restaurant and cookery programme. There must now be 10 million recipes for it.

Bring back the good old days when we ate lettuce in the summer.

Asparagus is terrific with a salad of sun dried tomatoes, kelp and mung beans, but too soon for Bishop Auckland.

BTW, lettuce is rabbit food and tastes of nothing at all.

Mr Dawes, far too soon for the Metropolis. I them there Mung Beans don't come in a can from Heinz they will be orrific. Sounds like you need some kelp with your menu planning (see what I did there?).

As for my beloved lettuce, its Cos its full of Vitamin B12 (see what I did there too?).

I like it. It's no longer snob food, has been available cheap for years. I fancy growing some on me allotment but it takes 3 years to mature and needs a fair bit of space to get a good amount.

It makes my piss smell extraordinarily bad, like I've been eating nothing but dead moths marinated in week-old beer slops.
