Last at Chester .

Out to do with Pools next chief executive.

Hopefully better than what we have had, sounds like he will replace Adams.

Hope he's better than the last defender we signed who had played in Italy!

Look forward to the Billingham friendly when we can confidently write him off.

Bloody hell, it's still May!

Have we ever signed a player this early in the close(d)? season?

The Summer Chris Turner signed 800 players in his 2nd stint will have had a few May signings I reckon.

If God descended from the heavens from a parting thundercloud on a brilliant shaft of celestial sunlight to manage the team, doubtless you'd point out out he has no experience of this division and advise him to return to paradise a.s.a.p!

If god had meant football to be played in the clouds he would have put grass on them.... or something like that.

After watching Scott Harrison last season I think we've exhausted utilising the make believe in defence already.

Asked my Chester supporting mate about him (the one that accurately noted that Luke George was horrific last pre-season). He said ‘ok, as far as I can remember.’
This my friends is massive progress! The words hapless, injury prone and liability were all happily missing from that description, already making him player of the season by default.

Thanks for ruining my weekend! I was quite happy thinking we'd just signed a player I'd not heard of and willing to trust Hignett/Bates' judgement.

Opinion does seem to be divided between Blackburn fans who hate him and his dad and the Chester fans who wish him well.

The sub-editor at the Hartlepool Echo/Sunderland Mail is doing cartwheels over this signing.

Aberdeen fans are indifferent because he played once and didn't make an impression.

Hope this helps.

I think it’s more of his father/agent being someone who seems to have a large amount of blame on him for the demise of Blackburn Rovers.

Probably just paranoia after the last few years, but seeing another link to a shady character still makes me nervy.

I'd be utter sh1t in the Premiership, but if they offered me 10k a week to humiliate myself I'd give it a go, but don't blame me.
Maybe, just maybe, this is his level. How many good players over the years have we had who wouldn't have made it at Premiership level?
Let's just see eh?

Seems like his Dad was the one who got the Venkys involved with Blackburn and then got his son into the club. According to Blackburn fans he wielded a lot of power and influence. Was an agent for many years and made millions from his deals. Don’t think he will have anything todo with this move and hope I’m right.

Probably one of our worse players we had here last season. His defending is dire and we eventually got him out on loan at Chester. He was soon on the bench with them. He was on that ridiculous wage at Blackburn as a youngster and his dad got the venous to spend millions on dross really.
As for Anderson you only have to see how many appearances he has made for his age, very few over the years just a handful now and again, he will soon be on your bench after start I no doubt and then shipped out on loan again. He has been shite for barrow, torquay and Chester for sure.

Fair enough that you don't rate him, but 37 appearances for your lot and Chester in the last 14 months isn't exactly a handful is it?

Bates and Hignett obviously see something in him but I must admit that getting passed around those three clubs (two of which got relegated and the other survived by the skin of their teeth) doesn't make for good reading but he is now our player and needs our support. That's what he'll get from me until he proves undeserving which I hope he won't.

Some players just settle right at certain clubs and I will use Ian Clark as my example here. If I remember correctly he joined from possibly the worst ever Doncaster side in history and I thought why are we signing him if he can't get a game for them. He never turned out to be a world beater but was pretty decent when he had a place to settle. Sure there are plenty examples of this through the years. Myles could turn out to be crap but you just never know!

Looking at the Chester Chronicle's site, they did an article where fans were saying who they'd keep - Anderson was listed by several as one to hold onto if they could, and no-one seemed to be specifically saying get rid. OK he's not likely to be a world beater, if he was he wouldn't be signing for us, but there is at least the prospect of him being a bit more solid than Harrison and Laing, let's face it all he has to do to improve on them is be unspectacular, competent, and consistent!

Talked to my mate this afty. He is a season ticket holder at Torquay.
Says Anderson is "alright like, bog standard, did nothing wrong but didn't do anything great".

I hope that helps. Thread over.

As I have said earlier, the best defence in the league, Wrexham's, didn't even get them into the playoffs.

We need goal scorers. end of.

Have I got news for you. Someone just told me this lad’s dad is called Clive. So why people keep banging on about Blackburn I don’t know. Rarfs. If he is half as intelligent as his pop i’d be amazed and happy with that. Whose thread is this anyway?

His dad is actually called Gerry.
He is a real manipulator, always pulling strings and treating people like puppets.
You have been warned.

His Mom is called Laurie and the song, O Superman, was inspired by his heading ability. His step-dad Lou got him regular games for the Velvet Underground five a side team as well.

Nick off I saw his mam Pamela running past me on the headland beach with a boogie board and licking a rocket lolly earlier. Bit cold for a cossie but red does suit her mind.

His father, Viv, was the first black player to represent England in a full international match in 1978 playing against Czechoslovakia and the following year was the first black person to appear on colour television playing a barman in an episode of Tales of the Unexpected!!!!

Following the family's thespian tradition, his sister Gillian did a good turn in the X Files before tracking down the Northern Irish serial killer played by Mark E Smith in The Fall.

His dad used to write emails belittling Ricky Gervais on his XFM shows.

He also has a black brother called Anthony, who played cuddly larger than life character Teddy in the late 90's high school teen sitcom Hang Time.
