Went to a Damo Suzuki gig tonight, basically because my nephew's band were the support act so got a free ticket. I didn't realise he was one of the main gadgies in Can, a band who I have admired without really getting into.

Anyroad, he was fucken amazing. He must be 70 odd, but created so much energy it felt like the walls were moving. Even better was when I found his 'band' barely knew each other before tonight, no rehersals or fuck all, all just completely improvised, as will be the next gig.

If you get chance to see him then I would highly recommend it.

Did you go there on your GT380?

My first bike was a GT185, ace bike pre bike test years and no speed limiter.

All those Suzukis at the time looked great with loads of chrome GT185/GT250/GT380/GT550 then i think it was the watercooled GT750 as i recall.

The one thing they had in common was poor handling and quite often you would come across a Suzi rider who had come off at a corner and was shouting "Damo Suzuki!"

I was never into Krautrock but even I knew Can had a Japanese singer. Do keep up, Notty.

I'm donning a hairshirt on my way to the library to take some books out on 70s music.
