Bit rough on Coleman but with the manager merry go round he get a decent club soon. Big step up for their new chairman. Eastleigh must be gutted.

At the end of the day it’s a very good news for them. The debt of £200 million that was saddled with has gone along with the bloke who seemingly had no interest in football or the club. They can move forward now you feel.

Coleman wasn’t a good appointment for me he’s done nothing of note as a club manager and even the Wales success was completely over hyped the last Euros were harder not to qualify for and at the tournament they only actually played well once against Belgium. Anyone would have struggled but he’s not all that as a manager.

I can’t see that really, they are in a miles better financial position overnight and I doubt he was on big money he was on £200,000 a year as Wales manager, it’s probably just a case of news owners wanting their own man and having someone lined up as part of the takeover.

He had offered to take a pay cut so I'm sure he'll be disappointed but I'd say he's better off out of that mess. Ok they're debt free but the club is rotten and it will take some doing getting the likes of Rodwell and their £70k wages off the books. Good luck to them next season as the fans don't deserve the shite they've had to put up with. You would of thought having been through what we've been through that our fans would be more sympathetic to others supporting mismanaged clubs.

I think I read somewhere that a relegation clause for Rodwell has kicked in now and he’ll only earn £40,000 a week next seaon, buttons, about the going rate for a League One player who never plays.

If they employ the right manager and start winning as they should at that level they will be getting crowds of 30,000+ or even more if they are right up there. I can see them start to turn the corner now Short has gone. They are a big club with a huge and loyal fan see they’ll be alright.

No doubt Rodwell will be happy doing feck all for his final year while picking up his ridiculous wages and incnst imagine anyone else is daft enough to sign him.

Wasn't that said about Pools last summer to a much smaller degree of course.

It was also said about Sunderland last summer but like us because of a the shambolic running of the club off the field they in reality had little chance on it. Certainly comparable to us but like us now the debt that was crippling them has gone and they actually have half a chance with the slate wiped clean, luckily for us we avoided the second relegation.

To add to this Short according to the report on Look North I have just watched wrote off over £250 million that he spent on Sunderland, sort of but that was the huge extent of the debt. With the revenue the Premier League brings in its fairly staggering how they can end up in that situation but when you see the details it’s again very close to home. Short put in over £70 million and an American investment company also loaned them a similar amount of which the club had been paying 14.5 interest on since 2014! So this is a huge funicial burden gone. Plus they have over 30 million due in parachute payments due. I would be amazed if they didn’t piss League One next season.
