I expect The Dons fans will be in party mood at Wigan tomorrow and hopefully celebrating the descent to Div 2 of Franchise FC. I'm with them. Hope they get hammered by Scunny and go on descending to oblivion.

I've stopped giving a feck about them to be honest, it's unhealthy to bear a grudge for so long especially against someone that hasn't really affected you. Leeds however are a pack of chunts.

How long would you hold the grudge if it was Pools in that situation?

Wimbledon have their club back, got back their league status, overtaken the club that swiped theirs, inspired a whole bevy of phoenix clubs, and made Winkleman look a c*nt. I'd be pretty satisfied with that if I were them. But I'd still bear a grudge.
Like in thirty years' time, when today's supporters are all great-grandads and still hold a grudge against Crookshall & Co.

I take great pleasure in the fact the Wimbledon are likely to be playing in the league above MK next season.

The ones that really shocked me were the original Wimbledon fans who transferred their loyalty to the new club.

I think the distance is more comparable to shifting the club to Harrogate. Can't see many Poolies following them if that happened.

I can't get my head round the original fans who followed the Dons to Milton Keynes, don't think there was many of them mind.

I knew one, or sort of, but he'd been supporting Wimbledon from afar. He didn't actually have any local ties with them; he'd just grabbed onto their coat tails when they were busy upsetting the big boys.
Anyway, when I asked him if he was still going to follow them (they hadn't moved yet), he said "Well you have to don't you". And the way he looked and sounded when he said it I could see his point.
I'm not sure he carried it through mind.
He supported Pools with me once when they were on the telly in one of our play-off adventures, so he must have been a canny lad.

Durham City were one of eight North East league clubs back in the days (nine if you count Gateshead as a separate club from South Shields who suffered exactly the same fate as Wimbledon). They don't quite pull the same weight now mind.

Thanks for comments folks - mucho appreciated. Never really liked the old Wimbledon but those feckers at Milton Keynes etc. Just deserts. As for Leeds agree with pooliecrab. Dirty cheating leg breaking bastards - just ask Sunderland fans of my age group (60 +).

Its not gone how Winkelman must have envisaged at the start. The Stadium is one of the best I have been to in terms of a new build but I never think they are going to feel like a real club. Over a quarter of a million people live there so the crowds in that context are shite, and continued to be when they played at Championship level, the fact they are back at lower level than started from and now dropping below the reformed club who's Football League place they acquired feels like karma. Very nice karma indeed. I think another relegation might be pushing it though I'm sure they'll be bankrolled back into League One next season.

Fair enough, I've just reached a total state of football nirvana. But I still hate fecking Leeds....and Martin Gray.

If we moved out of town, we wouldn't be Pools. End of relationship.

I'd be all for moving pools to Harrogate, I'd save loads on petrol driving there instead of Hartlepool.

We can even rename to Harropool United and no one would notice the difference.

Stickers getting made!
