Still in the mix;

Things are all of a sudden looking quite promising and moving forwards now the fundraising has stopped.

Careful what you believe, it may be true but not a single quote and the fact it's written by the club's puppet could mean they're just trying to hurry other deals along.

I don’t believe anything until it happens but in Pools situation no news is very bad news, at least things seem to be moving.

The likelihood is the deal with singh has stalled slightly so pools have told the mail to whip up a story that the swedes are still interested to get the other deal moving.

Yeah that seems likely, I can see them now sat in the North of Sweden saying “oh look what the Echo is saying” Almost Bond like genius from Pools. I think things have progressed beyond what it says it the paper. The Swedish consortium met three weeks ago today in London, they aren’t a made up story. Singh has had advanced talks with Blackledge do you think they need to put stuff in the paper!? I’d imagine him and Jeff want to push the deal through as quickly as possible.

What we know from the last week is that Blackledge is prepared to hand over the club for free, apart from potential future fees based on promotions. Also a deal has been agreed in principle, even reports that Singh has put an initial bit of cash to keep things going. So if we do have other interested parties now is the time to act. If we have more than one it can only be good.

It's good that you're embracing your feminine side just don't let the authorities know.

I’m only actually repeating what has been in the public domain over the last few weeks. I just think suggesting that the club are releasing a press article to hurry up Singh and Stelling whilst they are in talks with the owner is a bit ridiculous and is taking cynicism to a new level. What difference do you think a newspaper article will make!? Any stumbling block will be Blackledge and what he agrees to. It could have slowed down because he thinks he can get a better deal from another consortium. He has all the power is this situation.

I am more positive than I was a few weeks ago though my gut feeling now is that the club will be saved, it wasn’t not that long ago.

I'm still highly optimistic I'm going to win the lottery and take over the club. Shall I contact the press?

It's hardly cynical when Loughlin has more than a track record for doing as he's told by the club and the current mob in charge of the club have released numerous desperate begging letters or "statements" as they call them.

At most it's an article with no new evidence since we were told about the London meeting. I believe the term these days is clickbait.

So me knocking up this flat pack, whilst eating meatballs listening to ABBA could be jumping the gun a little?

Bloody Echo still doing it's "you have read 10 articles in the last month" cobblers.

You're not the feckin' Times, nobody apart from PJ (obviously)* is going to pay to read your online version!!

*to be fair, I would too if I was living in the desert with the Gulf News as the alternative.

I’m not signed up I just must try and read it for nothing less than you!

Yeah the press over here are hardly bastions of free speech, a little one sided and state biased it’s fair to say. I think Mr Blue is editor of The Gulf Times.

If you use chrome or the like just right click and view page source. Alternatively on safari you can open a private window and read the full articles. Its a pay wall with a major flaw in it!

You'd be better off packing your meatballs and knocking up ABBA.

If it’s written in the echo then treat with extreme caution. His track record is appalling.

I agree, speculation based on 'I've got to write something and I don't know anything', tittle tattle not journalism.
