I thought we were playing Bromley, still can't get my head around the teams in this league.

Pools 2-1 Boreham Wood 1 (double for Woods)

Can't seeing this being a entertaining game off football to be honest with 2 piss poor sides who both lack quality with some poor football being played on our part. (Again) I'm actually thinking about not going for once and I have attented all home games so far this season and the odd away game here and there, Ohhh yeah, 0-0 poor crowd 2464.

Due to weather scrappy or crappy game, probably both I will say 2...1 to us, mad I know, but that's the beauty and agony of following pools.

Boreham Wood are fifth, and on a decent little run. They'll win easily.

I'll be at the game. I mean, Pools can't possibly be as bad as they were against Ebbsfleet... can they?

I'll have the prayer mat out for Donnelly starting the game and lasting the course. If Pools reproduce how they played at Aldershot and don't give away more than one soft goal, I fancy us for a draw. But that's not a prediction!

I was pleasently surprised how they 'gave it a go' at Aldershot only losing 2-1 when I predicted 5 or 6-1 so if they give a repeat performance, keeping fingers crossed, I think that we can win this one 3-1 or 3-2.

They were def the better side and you could tell they were full of confidence. BUT can’t fault us for effort today and putting bodies on the line. If we keep that up at least then it should give us a chance of getting some wins in to get over the line.

At least we put up a fight today, which was good to see and the players and Manager should be given credit for that. We looked better with Donelly back in the side.

Agree - Donnelly's no nonsense approach to defending makes a hell of a difference. To be fair, Adams was chalk and cheese today compared to his horror show against Ebbsfleet. Harrison was steady - till he got sent off! - and even Laing managed to look like a centre back when he came on for the 10 men.

As a team Pools looked organised and and couldn't be faulted for effort -can't really ask for more than that in present circumstances. My biggest worry today was Scott Loach. His reluctance to come off his line got ridiculous in the second half and Boreham Wood really should have scrambled one of their chances in. Glad the cheating, whingeing sods didn't like.

Still, you've got to say it's been a tough week - Ledger gone, George probably out for the season and now Harrison looking at another ban. Four kids on the bench next week!

Credit for what running about? They’re professional footballers

He did. Then we hit the post.
Id also love to know if rhys oates was offside or not when he continued to put the ball in the net despite their keeper not trying.

We already had 4 kids on the bench didn't we? It says a lot about our squad and the position we're in that we don't class 19 year old Rodney in his first proper season as a kid

Decent point under the circumstances, and a clean sheet stops the rot of conceding sill goals. Players put in another good shift after Aldershot midweek. I could say its a great result considering we went down to 10, but it was only Scott Harrison, with him off we should of went on to win to be honest ( only joking ). Whether Bates has got them working harder or they're just playing for Bates as opposed to not playing for Harrison who knows. Bates and Co look as though they have changed the warm up routine. Things like this were stagnating under Harrison and the players looked bored and disinterested. Its the little improvements like this that make the difference. In the end It may just get us over the line.

I reckon another 10 points should do it. With the players now working their socks off , this is now achievable , providing our forwards improve on their finishing. Whilst their wasn't much service to them yesterday , in games where they do get chances, they really have to be more clinical , or it could cost us dearly at the end of the season.

Too true. Rodney made his first team debut last season and has started 20 games this (plus 15 substitute appearances). So yes, Devante may be still 19 and learning the game, but compared to the likes of Hawkes, Owen and Catterick, who haven't got a first team start between them, he's an old stager!

Rodney isn't a kid though. He is 19

I thought Rodney was around 21, He has has quite a few games under his belt compared to the kids mentioned in the earlier post, I think there's a player in there somewhere (Rodney) he could of been in double figures this season if he had a little more composure infront off goal.

One of the highlights of the game for me was the clap that Pools got when we left two men up at a defending corner and it seemed to cause them problems, who'd have thought it?! Then Harrison got wrongly sent off in my opinion and we settle for the point. The Ref was a joke on Saturday, he was equally a joke on our opener against Dover as well!
