3 0 shots .Best team I have seen this year against us, Bernard Mensah was a pain in the arse against us , like Willow the Wisp to play against! They sold him to Bristol Rovers in January managed 1 game for them since, 14 goals in 56 for the Shots. They will still be better than us regardless and have home advantage after we get of the bus as there are no more hotel stop overs , no setting off day before, pop in to train at somewhere like Aston Villa and hotel grub and a couple of escorts before the game! All the the expense of as club now almost 2 million in debt , the owner won't cough up anymore and likely liquidated if Jeff can't get the other 600k before Blackledge\ Sage\Pam etc pull the plug!

I seem to recall us going to Aldershot for a night match and proper dishing them when they were on the verge of going bust. I can see a complete reversal of that this time around so will go 5-2 to them, although the 2 for us might be a little optimistic.

Aldershot , possibly the only club in terms of winning nowt, shabbier than us. That night in 1991 was a one off at the time, pools and Dalton springing the offside trap on numerous occasions and going in I think 4-0 at half time.. The season before they had tanked us 6-1 ( think it was the game that did for Moncur )and in the pub across the road from the ground an Aldershot fan was giving us a great deal of sympathy in a typically patronising southern style. A year later said Aldershot fan was confronted by one of my mates, same pub, different scoreline, we had beaten them 5-1 and it was they who were in the shite big style now. There were demonstrations by their fans that night and they went bust a year later.

I remember going to watch them at Hungerford Town in the mid 90s as they started their journey back towards the Football League.

If we get hammered tonight , probably best not to go to the pub outside the ground.

Another defeat hardly surprising with a team already full of Evo-Stik standard players. They did sound as though they were trying last night, which gives us some hope. Could be in the bottom 4 come Saturday evening. I have said for ages its between us and Barrow, that game over there will be huge.

The last game at Tranmere, can just picture it, them winning the title and us going down in front of a capacity crowd.

If this takeover happens then i would still expect all the out of contract players to be binned.
