Anyone remember having a drink in any of these now closed and or demolished pubs? Name the towns / teams attached to them.

The Church in Rochdale was one of my favorite away pubs of all time

Jolly porter near exeter railway station I think?
I’m sure it’s some sort of Chinese food place, saw it when I stayed in Exeter
On the way to Torquay.

Three correct so far. Drury Arms outside Colchesters old ground is now a Sainsburys I believe. The Church outside of Rochdale ground has been demolished.

The big white one looks bloody familiar but I can't place it.

The Garibaldi John. I have drank in them all of course, over time, the Jolly Porter once seemed like my second home. Not sure if I drank in The Garibaldi or the one across the road from it. I'm sure the Garibaldi was were Swansea's finest used to hang out. A clue for the other pub, is it wasn't near the ground, but a few hundred yards from that towns railway station.

Can I be the only one to be glad to see the back of pubs like these?

What we need is more pubs that don't reek of old men, we need pubs selling craft beers, sliders and different flavoured gins

May the Lord be with you

The pub no one seemed to remember , was the Six Bells outside Peterborough railway station, closed in 2002 and demolished around 2011/12

Wasn't a great pub, but it was the first one you passed on the way into Peterborough town centre. I remember it been a bit raucous in there one afternoon in March 1990 after a Pools game at Peterborough was called off at 1230pm.

Get this ! I actually made some bread for the first time last week. First attempt was just plain bread and it was really nice. Next day I got adventurous and bought some sun dried tomatoes and olives in Morrisons. I rushed it a bit and it wasn't as good as the day before, also difficult to spread the tomatoes and olives around the bread evenly. Think I will have another go again this week , might try it with cheese

First World Problems, eh?

What is middle class about making bread? the working class lived on bread in Victorian times when your paymasters ruled the roost . Maybe thats why the likes of me are making bread once again, the tories are back with a vengeance. Nice try rolf

Aye I can often remember when my Nana used to make bread, the shout of ' Oh no, I've ran out of Sundried tomatoes and Olives', run round the VG and see if they have any left, while you're at it see if they have any quinoa and salsa hummus left'

PS - Call me a lot of things, but I'm not a Tory

Well you certainly come across as one. yawn1 What's wrong with people making bread? or eating quinoa and salsa hummus?. People broke free from the chains that held ordinary people back in times past. Ordinary people now indulge in things only their masters had the pleasure of in the past, its called progress.
