I've offered my services to Mark Simpson on Twitter before. Hopefully he passed it on to Bates.

I'd do a better job than Harrison and Laing for sure.

If he hasn’t already, Bates need to put the pies down and get into training asap, even half-fit he would be able to fill a gap and give some leadership on the pitch.

I will dust my old pumas just in case a dominant midfielder is required but should we require a centre half with a bit more bite than the current options my wife unfortunately doesn’t have any boots of her own but takes a size 4 if anyone can dig any out, 5’s at a push as she would put 2 pairs of socks on
