And one time Boro keeper Ross Turnbull.

All Matthew Bates needs now is 11 players who give a shit, most of them on Saturday didn't appear to.

They’d be daft if they didn’t give a shit I imagine they do but what they are is lacking in ability in many cases, and devoid of moral and confidence. Not a great combination for professional sport. Take the two centre backs for example, they should be nowhere near any starting eleven but they will be playing next game, we have nobody else it’s an utterly hopeless situation on many levels. Hopefully a couple of new faces in training might give things a bit of a boost but will it make a big difference? I doubt it. A lack of confidence leads to a lack of self belief that can lead to you not fully committing or not make a decision or being positive. It can look like a lack of effort but I rarely think it is, they have they livelihoods at stake and they aren’t good enough to be deliberately shite.

Limping along from game to game as Pools are it's very difficult to avoid the conclusion that relegation this season is inevitable unless a takeover being completed in the next couple of weeks - and only the supreme optimists on the other board think that is going to happen.

According to the latest Trust statement, there's no chance of the transfer embargo being lifted because the club can't guarantee that it will continue trading till the end of the season. Going into Administration at any point before the end of the season (forget the 22nd March 'cut off' ) means automatic relegation unless Pools are more than 10 points above the bottom 4 - which is also not going to happen.

Pools currently have the same 13 experienced pros who failed on Saturday available for next weekend - including Laing, Harrison and Blair and others like Featherstone for whom the word 'fit' hardly seems to apply.

Donnelly 'might' be fit - though that's been said for a while. Ledger has yet another injury and is staying at Sunderland - let's face it, he doesn't want to be here, does he? Donaldson is still long-term injured and as usual there's no word about Munns. Can't Loughlin or Kennedy just ask a simple bloody question about what has happened to the lad?

So there's 14 pros at best for upcoming games, half of whom clearly aren't up to NL standard. We can't sign anybody else. There's the untested youth team players of course, and I hope to God Monkeybutt is right about a few of them being worth a chance because they are going to get it when more injuries and suspensions kick in.

I thought the run in to the end of last season was the last word in depressing, but we ain't seen nothing yet. IF HUFC was a dog the vet would do the decent thing.

He did say he knew people in the game , who he could call upon , these are obviously two of them. Get your mates in, a tried and tested formula at Pools when things go wrong

Sounds like the backroom is broken. Not supportive of Bates and now he has brought in 2 people from outside the club to help , one of them a keeper, which suggests Himmler may of left. Can't see this ending well, but then it never was going to was it?.

Still anything is better than Harrison.

If something goes wrong at pools the answer is normally to turn to people who've been at the boro. Worked well for us.

We could revert to bringing in Hodcroft's old Newcastle favourites. Fat Beardsley and Solano were legends at Pools.

Could bring that Campbell and that Swedish winger with the dodgy hamstrings back on loan too.

*do expect people him to bring in people he doesn’t know to help for free*

I only missed out three entire words, it’s what the kids do these days to make things less time consuming.

I’m registering for the other board, they’ll understand me on there.

This is bullying. I hate the Bunker now.

I better set up a fake e mail address with a fake name in first though.
