So Sol Campbell, with a £55m net worth, was moaning that he isn’t being given a chance to get experience as a manager, and that one of the greatest football minds was being overlooked. He also said that he was willing to work non-league.

Yet we are for sale, desperate for a buyer, and without a manager.

Solution to both problems. Campbell buys Pools (maybe with a couple of other investors too, to reduce his outlay), he appoints himself manager, then after a few seasons of the constant success that would undoubtedly come, he would be headhunted for a top job, and can sell Pools on in a much more healthy position, so making all of his money back.

Everyone is a winner.

I’m sure we could get Jeff to have a sly word in his ear next time he’s on Sky...

He is a tory, so he can fook right off for me.

Like you say though, it does make perfect sense, but I'm guessing Sol just wants to walk into a job right at the top, which no doubt he would make a right balls of. He comes across to me as someone who thinks he knows a lot about the game but knows very little, and would be likely to fail whichever end he started at.

Thank feck you aren't on the interview committee for new owners Relying on North Korean 'investors' and a collective bid by the late Marx, Engels and Trotsky consortium might be a bit unlikely.

clappp clappp clappp I don't personally see why politics and support for a football club has to be linked - but not wanting to upset Mr Horden I am withdrawing my offer of investing my ill gotten gains (from child exploitation, fracking and the sale of non-artisan breads) into a club I've loved since well before I realized politics actually mattered.

To be fair, Mr Horden classes Lenin as a rabid right wing capitalist running dog/lackey of the bourgeois elite and exploiter of the teeming masses.

Campbell reckons management is easy. He could suss out the lower league in 2/3 weeks.

Let’s get him in

You've nailed it Snowy. That's exactly were we are going wrong. I should be on the interview committee. No tanned shoe, jargon waffling , bullshitting Capitalist investor would fool me.

Probably not Accrington. There seems to be an absence of genuine people around these days.
