They aren’t ‘random’. They are manipulated, gullible ‘Pam-promoters’
I’d like to think they aren’t bright enough to realise that but he last few months suggest otherwise to me at least. The phrase ‘fringe-benefits’ springs to mind.

Out with it Bresslaw. Roll up a trouser leg and spit it out. There is way too much hinting going on. Just say it.

News filtering through of wages being paid, how the hell does that happen when the fans are donating money?
The mind boggles!!!-

It's not just 'filtering through' - it's on the Echo website, straight from the caretaker manager:

"Bates confirmed that all staff and players were paid in full this morning on time."

Agree that whatever the hell is going on behind the scenes at Pools, it's got even more opaque, if that's possible.

Speculation starter for 10: Sage think there really is a chance of a takeover, and have found a bit more cash to keep the show on the road.

Outlandish I know, but what are the alternative suggestions? There's nowhere near enough fan-raised cash left to pay the wage bill,

The Trust said in a statement weeks ago they had had confirmation from the owners that there was funding in place to cover February running costs but it doesn't seem to stop people making stuff up every week about it being Pools last ever game or that the club is about to be liquidated. The statement The Trust put out last night was also quite positive as well and they seem to have a better idea than most of what is actually going on inside the club, they certainly seem to be speaking to all the right people and then putting out the factual information rather than other groups that just seem to start new rumours for the sake of starting them !

The Trust statement is excellent. They clearly think the Council on Board, and strike the right note in conclusion:

"As it stands we can see little merit for Mr Blackledge in liquidating the club, though of course the Trust Board must still plan for the worst while hoping for the best. Finally can we just remind people that every game and every point is vital, so we would again ask that you get behind the team and the Caretaker Manager on Saturday. The support from the fans last Saturday was fantastic - more of the same please."

After reading the latest chapter in this whole sorry affair and the claims that Pam Duxbury is passing on through sympathetic fans that she has not taken a wage from the club 6 months I can see some clear confusion here. Also thinly vailed threats that some might 'get a knock on the door' as if this couldn't get more sorry.

One, Pam Duxbury is entitled to take a wage from the club first as financial director and then chairwoman, or should I say chairperson in these gender free days. Nobody is sugesting she has taken part in any wrongdoing. Ken Hodcroft was Pools chairman for nearly 18 years, he was employed by IOR to be the clubs chairman, it was part of his wider job with IOR. He didn't put any of his own money into the club he was an employee. Do people not actual realise that fact? I think the difference is that (maybe until his very final act in who he handed the club over to) he carried out that role with responsibilty, the best interests of the club and competence. Pam Duxbury has been at the club for just over a year and I see very little evidence of any of those things, I see evidence of the opposite. She like Ken is an employee. Nobody would even talk about Pam Duxbury's salarly if she was perceived to be doing even a decent job. I also find the claim that she has not taken a wage for six months very hard to believe, I think she's pushing it if she expects anyone to believe that to be honest.

I see the latest statement from the Trust confirms that my gut feeling was correct and claims that Duxbury has not taken a wage out of the club for six months are completely false. Another occasion were someone is accused of shit stirring and trouble causing when what that are saying is much closer to the truth than some want us to believe.

The latest Trust statement is again excellent by the way at least they are trying to keep fans informed.
