At least this lot showed some fight and won this game , and the one before and after. Down to 10 men after 55 mins and Burnley had 1000 fans backing them. It didn't last of course, but can you imagine current crop doing this? I can't.

Houchen was a one many army for a couple of seasons.

Interesting to note that what, seven of those on duty had either come through our youth team, or at least we were their first pro club... eight if you include Hooch... can't say the same for the current side, whatever else may be going on in the background Harrison still has more experience in both squad and team!

I was in the directors box in the town end that day as a mate worked for Cameron's and got some freebies. Apparently so were Tony Blair and Alistair Campbell. I only remember seeing Terry McDermott.

I remember that game well, out of the ‘2,800’ a regular Gary Gibson generated attendance Burnley had the Town End and Rink End in a three sided ground. I remember a very arrogant Adrian Heath responding to abuse from The Millhouse Terrace by counting fans, it was piss funny when he got sent off second half for having a genuine fight with Tony Skedd rolling about on the floor and windmilling right on the spot he’d previously been mocking!

Actually this is not a bad tactic, one even Harrison has missed. Get sides down to 8 v 7 or whatever and that's less good players on the pitch belonging to the other side, which must mean more chance of winning.

Shame we havent a Tony Skedd like figure in our team to start the BALLS rolling
