I’ve played cricket there once it seemed a fairly backward place.

The road out was nice.

No suggestions, they do have a leisure centre and you will probably not get bummed against your will, so that's a positive

Aycliffe has an Aldi and a Tescos. Dominos recently opened there. There is a Golf course and er 1 of the few pubs has a domino handicap on a Thursday. It may still have a library. As for culture Aycliffe has an Aldi and a Tescos......

Better off going to the Metropolis, which has Art galleries and other cultural stuff, a fine selection of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. A library, Hospital and Dad and me!

Peterlee's inbred sister. Went there once back in 1976 to a place called The Southern Social Club to see Mungo Jerry. Had to listen to a couple of Darlo fans on the bus from Peterlee (The 213) saying how shite Pools were.

It's fucking horrible. Populated by fat single mams in pyjamas at all times of the day, along with hordes of feral kids in Dunlop joggers.

Luton always was a desperate place, but 10 times worse these days. Mind you Workington will take some beating, and there must be some right humdinger towns in South Wales.

The missus went to Redworth Hall for a Spa night thing on the lead up to our wedding with her mates and she said it was like Fawlty Towers. It was a nice place about 15 years ago the last time it was decorated.

Redworth Hall is at Redworth, nearer Shildon than Aycliffe. Shildon had that capsule the British Bloke who went to space on display. Better than that you could have come to the Metropolis for a night out with Dad (I would have come too).
