Earlier on this week in a post, I said I will be going to the Woking match out of curiosity. I've now decided that there really is no point. The season ticket can spend a relaxing afternoon behind the clock on the mantelpiece.
Really, what is the point, there can't be anything left to salami slice away and results now are irrelevant as the longest death bed scene in football carries on.
Maybe it's best if we just stayed away to wipe away the last vestiges of credibility of this comic opera management.

You will be there Snowy , curiosity will get the better of you , even if its just to see our new improved catering facilities. Next home game, make sure you use the toilet before you leave home , otherwise bring your own bog roll. You heard it here first.

Ooh I like the sounds of toilet improvements. Outsourcing consumables to the consumer is surely the way to go. If that's not enough to persuade Snowy I don't know what is.

Maybe the game after the fans will have to turn the lights off on the way out too.

Apparently the club will save up to £33.67p a game , through the savings made on toilet roll, soap and water and the electric used for the hand dryers. Fans are being urged to either use the 4 portable toilets located outside the Mill House, Bowls Club, Raglan and Morrisons, or use toilets in those aforementioned establishments themselves ( but don't say Pam said so)

I've considered going, I've made space in my weekend to go. But this morning I've just thought exactly the same as snowy. What's the point?

I didn't renew my season ticket this year so it's going to cost me £18 for the honour of watching another embarrassment.

We're becoming like those odd people who turn up at accidents and stare by going to watch matches.
Once it's confirmed there's nothing left in the club, we'll drive past one morning to see the front door open and flapping in the wind, the bulbs taken out of the floodlights and the sound of silence.
Then the work can begin.

Nah. I've suffered some shite over the years, but this is the perfect storm. Harrison is to management what the Queen is to pole dancing, the team suffer from terminal lethargy and the 'owners' have to part of TV hoax, surely? I'm waiting for Jeremy Beadle's ghostly hologram to appear and reveal the truth to us, there's no other explanation?

I'm going to the match and KFC. May see you in there, around 430pm

I think if you`re able bodied you should go, it isn`t the players fault, just everybody above them, stay at home if you must but leave people to make their own mind up.

Going to pub before hand as usual but won’t bother with the game.

Agree with Monkeybutt.

As a supporter I will be there, cheering the players on best I can.

Am I expecting a resounding win. No

Do I think there are far more important issues than tomorrows result. Absolutely.

But ultimately I support Pools and will go (particularly having already handed over my season ticket money) until this dreadful process reaches a conclusion.

I will then either continue to support HUFC under new ownership or more likely a Phoenix club hopefully playing at the Vic.

Whoa, no one's not being allowed to make up heir own mind. If people want to go, they'll go.
But the same applies to people who decide not to go and we've made our minds up.

Don’t apologise. I don’t mind or care if you don’t go. If we turn them over 6-0 you will be our lucky charm meaning you can’t go again until we lose which may well be some time. You take your chances. I wasn’t thinking of going in the first place. I would if I could. Just to give Harrison some coaching tips. I think if we worked in triangles more that would help take the players minds off of the off the field issues and potential investors could see that at least we were geometrically competent.

I’m going, taking my 6yr old nephew too. He’s in the great position of just enjoying going to watch pools without understanding all the other guff that’s going on currently.

Get yer sen there Mr snowy, you never know when the next boat related analogy will be needed.

You don't go and you run the risk of potentially missing the best analogy opportunity ever.

Also, you've paid for your ticket already so you're not lining the pockets of the thieving bastards......and what else are you gonna do?

Right, setting off now. See you there chaps.

Look at it this way, the weather is sh*t, Pools are sh*t ( though I've a funny feeling we might win today , wish I could edit my score prediction) but we play at the Vic, in the centre of town, surrounded by places you can meet friends for a drink. I can understand why some don't want to go, but this time next year god knows were we could be playing at , and in what division. Looking back in a years time, could make todays game and matchday experience look like a utopia. Enjoy it while it lasts.

All the time I've been going there (since 1969), there have been some really bleak periods. However, over the course of the season, (I was lured into with lots of positivity) I now feel the club bears no resemblance to what I consider to be Hartlepool United. The club has been eaten from the inside out and the husk is about yo vote crashing down.
I'm not going through the motions because I do care. Blind loyalty is like carrying a sign around your neck saying 'exploit me'.

I like the headline on Pools site 'Pools back to winning ways' rather than 'Pools in rare win'.

I remember when we had a football club. Never really successful, never won a thing, but it was my local club. So you'll have to excuse me if I take exception to people trying to pretend there's a future or caring about a now irrelevant result. The football Grinch is in residence and our inoffensive, unpretentious symbol of our unique town is being ground into the dust.
I'm well pissed off, but the humour will return.
