There’s probably not much profit in match day catering if their was you’d probably see clubs make more of an effort. The bars probably do make money. I hope the staff aren’t working for free again though.

Seriously ‘trialing’ something If Duxbury was open and honest the only thing that they’d be trialing is if it’s faster to fuck off in a taxi or the train once they have bled out every last penny they can before they finally bail out and leave us to pick up the pieces.

It was the same with the change of training facilities at Durham. Promoted as being an improvement, but basically they couldn't afford Houghall or had been bombed out. This is all part of the downward spiral, but the worst part is the lying and bullshit behind it all.

Just been talking to my Dad he had a box booked for Saturday, him and his mates are all season ticket holders have all stood together in the same spot on the millhouse terrace for years certainly longer than I have been alive. They pick a game at the start of the season and stick a few quid in the kitty every home game, they have done this almost since the Vic got boxes in about 2000. Anyway they obviously decided against handing over the thick end of £800 for it weeks ago as their was no guarantee the game would even go ahead, then Pools knocked down the price to £400 then they said that no food will be available just tea and biscuits. So they obviously then completely sacked it off.

I just feel so bad for all the staff, I think many in the commercial department have been there 8-10 years and more. So I think it’s worth thinking twice that having four burger vans placed around the ground is a great money saving idea and consider the people it impacts.

Exactly PJ....some are saying it's a wonderful idea to save money but not mentioning the fact that it's more than likely been done so the thieves have less outlay on wages!!!!

No severance package for these people who have served the club for ages just whatever scraps the state hands them, but let’s be sympathetic towards Pam Duxbury who is screwing £2,000 a week out of our insolvent club.

Its such a great idea , we are the first club to do it. Well that would be a first, Pools trailblazing, thinking up something that every other club will follow. We will see.

Personally I think everyone should boycott the catering vans. The club will get fooked over big style on this. Does anyone think an outside caterer is actually going to give an honest figure of what takings they took on the day? , so for example Pools get a cut of £300 instead of £500 etc

Must be a new catering company , never heard of them before, Cox Hall Catering Company apparently.

I haven't , because it takes the money outside of the club. What I have complained about is yes the catering at Pools leaves a lot to be desired and that it should be improved. No doubt a lot of the revenue goes amiss as well, hardly surprising when they pay people peanuts and probably treat them like sh*t.

Using a middle man never ends well, well except maybe for the middle man. Have you watched the news lately ? that's how the country is fooked up , middle men/outsourcing. Pools will take a cut no doubt, but the real winners will be those that own the vans. Yes the quality may be better, but that is no excuse to do away with our own catering, that is a reason to improve our own catering.

I find it cringe worthy that some people have a go at Pam simply for doing her job! I also find it awkward and cringe worthy when people disclose a persons salary on social media especially why the figure could well be made up to gain a little attention. I also also find it cringe worthy when some people accuse Pam of some type of skulduggery or ripping off every last penny without any direct evidence against her.

Depends how Pools have done it but usually the caterer will pay rent on the pitch or rent for the pitch and a percentage of takings.
