And not a 'consultant' either - he's full time.

Make that "could be here till the end of April." But it's alright, Craig Harrison clearly rates him.

The advert in the middle of the article ironically sums it all up, a dancing clown telling us the circus is coming to town.

That's the end of the season then, about the same time as the club will be around in its current guise.

Not sure about fans being divided over Watson, I think everyone dislikes him , yet few have met him or even know who he is.

Harrison really is as thick as!

“It’s one of those situations we have to deal with,” said Harrison. “Players have left who we couldn’t renegotiate contracts with and that’s the sad situation right now. The exit door is well and truly open, the entry door is well and truly closed. That’s the reality.

What players who have left were we going to renegotiate contracts with? That's been the problem these last 5 or 6 years, clowns in charge giving contracts to players who were absolute garbage and should of been scattered. And with Harrison in charge I'm glad the entry door is closed. I just wish it was Harrison who had closed it on his way out of the club.

He probably means franks and Watson.

Keeping a head of recruitment in a job till April, when we cant sign anyone, makes perfect sense.

April seems a long, long way off just now. Perhaps the headline should read:

'Paul Watson exit will not be before the last pay cheques are issued.'

That made me chuckle. "A hugely divisive figure with fans..." Oh no he isn't!

Possibly the least divisive figure in the history of the club.

Probably the only people who didn’t despise this wage thief were the ones up until a few weeks ago didn’t know who the fuck he was due to the clubs recent trend of sneaking in fund bleeders through the back door.

To honest I still have no idea what he even looks like or have any clue of what his background in football is.

"Players have left who we couldn’t renegotiate contracts with and that’s the sad situation right now"

Final straw this: So neither himself or anybody else(watson) could not see what was on the horizon
And renegotiate the contracts before the embargo.

Seems to me everyone at the club are not as clever as they think they are, Or are they.

They really think we are totally stupid, Well i,m that stupid that Hartlepool footall club will not get another penny from me.
When this lot are sorted out, I will return.

Watson had a deal sorted, you can hardly blame Harrison for us not signing him.

You honestly think he should have foreseen financial meltdown?

Yes Harrison is out of his depth and we have been awful this season but picking holes in everything he says when he’s the only one who has to front up to the press in this hopeless situation is really tedious.

Keith Watson did yes it was agreed, he even stayed around the club while he was injured.

It’s an absolute fact that Harrison would have wanted to keep Watson and Franks but couldn’t due to circumstances beyond his control.

What about the Director of paper clip and staple procurement.... or.... the vital Sellotape Co-ordinator... not forgetting the Thingamybob Executive?
We should be told!!!!

Could they take the piss out of us any more?

Unless the Mail has got this very wrong, he is sticking around for one last payday from the charity fund before Insolvency Geoff gets the call.
