The Jolly Sailor on the A171 to Whitby is usually good stop off

We used to stop off at Guisborough on our way to/from Scarborough, if this helps.

Mind Mr Muttley, if you fancy a detour to the Metropolis I'm sure I know a good pub for a pint or 2 and a pie/sarnie!

Best pubs in Whitby imo. Endeavour, Station , Board Inn, Little Angel, Black Horse, Dolphin

Could be useful this, We could be playing them in a few year in the league and not pre season friendlies, Good day out at Whitby specially in the summer been a few times to watch pools in pre season I'm sure James Brown played against us once in a friendly if I'm not mistaken.

I’d add The Buck Inn and The Fleece to that list Ronnie but I’d not bother with the Dolphin. Food was crap and beer not much better last time I was there.

Duke of Welly is a cracking country pub by the way

Another one for the coast road. I have walked along the coast from Saltburn to Whitby many a time, gorgeous on a sunny day. Ship Inn in Saltburn is a canny boozer.
