"Blackpool Supporters Trust are calling for the EFL's Chairman Ian Lenagan and Chief Executive Sean Harvey to step down, unless they implement immediate reforms to protect clubs from financial mismanagement."

I think that all Trust's of clubs that have similar concerns to Blackpool should immediately unite and pile pressure on the EFL to take strong and decisive action and, if necessary, compensate clubs that have suffered financially as the result of rogue owners (which I guess would be a pretty long list!!)

The FA do not care about grassroots or lower league football, unless it directly effects the amount of money being poured into their trough the f**kers will not even come up for air.

The fit n proper persons test is a joke. It’s just a ticky box exercise.

Ironically the only person I can recall failing the test was Cellino at Leeds, even then he successfully appealed against it....

The fit and proper persons test clearly isn't fit for purpose, I think only couple of people have ever failed and on one of those occasions the owner of Chester, Steven Vaughan simply handed the club over to his son!

A lot more has to be done going forward and for me more should be in place allow intervention even after takeovers happen. Why not when 'the detectives' started unearthing this mess early last season couldn't fans approach a specially dedicating department at the FA that polices how clubs are being ran? Surely they have a duty of care towards clubs with long histories to safeguard the futures of them for thousands of supporters? Somebody like Coxall who clearly had no money or background as a successful or reputable businessman shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near the chairman's office of a 110 year old club. Rules about transparency need bringing in, clubs should have to publically publish accounts every six months. Something that I think would be excellent at Football Club level would be the implementation of what something similar to what they have in Germany or Spain, were all of the clubs are partly fan owned and have fan representation at board level. Why shouldn't your season ticket make you part of the fabric of the club? Part of your season ticket could pay for your Trust membership and that in turn gives you the power to vote for who represents you in the boardroom? It would go a long way to keeping away property developers and asset strippers. A lot more needs to be done, and a lot more can by done the FA can't just sit back and allow leeches and conmen destroy clubs in a couple or years then leave the people who suffer, the fans, to suffer the consequences and pick up the pieces.

The F.A. wouldn't pass it's own pathetic "fit and proper" test. Wasn't it warned by the government a few years ago? The Government! Now there's a mob that's the very definition of fit and proper.

Raj Singh passes the fit and proper person check even now. Enough said.

If you think what happened at Darlo is in the same League as what has gone on here in the last two years then you’re deluded Sir.

Say what you like but Singh lost a lot of his own money, you were already unsustainable and a consistently failing business when he took over you always would be in that ridiculous stadium. We have had people creaming fortunes off our club without steaking a penny of their own cash. Not sure even in the same ballpark.

We were in the Football League, totally debt free and well supported two end a half years ago. Singh is reputable businessman with money many of the people who have wormed their way in at Pools are not.

My point is he made a mess of a club, went back on promises made to players, stopped paying the wages of some and yet still paid others. Yet he would still be deemed suitable to be an owner of a football club.
