I see he’s been subject to a rejected £200,000 bid from Celtic (no he really has its not from some made up Twitter feed) and they’re coming back with another bid.

I would what the self interest fueled vermin who sold him got in the summer? I wonder if he negotiated any sell on clauses? Not that it matters as I’m sure in both cases the club has seen nothing of that money or would see anything of this money.

I would love to see a breakdown of what Toto, Carroll, Laurent, Carson, Amond, Thomas, Alessandra, Walker and Simpson brought in who all have left for fees since the cancer came into our club. Even more importantly I’d love to know where it’s gone. Is it little wonder they are hostage with the books. Full ninety/Watson/Duxbury/Dave Jones are one and the same and can all rot in Hell the pack of self serving damned bounders.

Interesting reading into conflict of interest.

While you’re on the subject of Carson, good to luck to him. He deserves a big move. Will get to play in the Europa League and he’ll win a league title after the horrendous luck he’s had in England. He’s a Rangers fan though!!

Yeah it’s great for him he’s a top bloke good luck Trevor.

When you think about Higgy saying that Watson is the worst person he’s ever met in football it’s fairly damning when he almost certainly knows Barry Bennell.

He'll be signed as back up I think. But probably triple his wages in the process.

He's deleted his Twitter account though, don't think his pro Rangers tweets will go down too well.

10 bloody grand!

A top class league standard keeper under contract!

Why?

I reckon the club could have made up to £1.17 on that deal once all of the leeches took a share.

£10,000!? He signed a new contract early last season. Can’t supporters take legal action against grossly incompetent owners for being financially negligent custodians of OUR club?

It absolutely stinks these fuckers should dragged through the streets and put in the stocks.

New ‘long term contract’ signed in the early part of last season and we sold him for ten grand.

These wankers want setting on fire.

Beggars belief that so many players have been let go for peanuts, if only blackledge would do the same with the club instead of expecting all of his money back.

Shirley if the figure was so low a high percentage of sell on was included. I accept the money might disappear, but even the not very nice people in charge of HUFC couldn't be so stupid as to give away a top class keeper for £10k with nothing in the contract regarding appearances and sell on.

Presumably if a club was under investigation for this type on conflict of interest, then they would be placed under some type of transfer embargo while the investigation was ongoing.

Just speculating...

Craig Gordon out for 3 months, according to the Echo Pools would get 49% of any sell on fee, that would go a long way to pay the tax bill.

Woods and Deverdics on their way out today according to Loughlin. Wonder where any money we get will go? Whose pockets are gonna be lined today I wonder.

If it was 49% it would more than than cover it.

Where and how that 49% is distributed is the burning issue though isn’t it? This would the tenth player transaction the club have received cash for in 12 months, of those one was for £400,000 and we’re being told even considering all of that plus parachute payments, sponsorship money and season ticket money that Backledge has still had to put £1.8 million in so forgive me for not getting excited by this news. Oh and that’s with basic utility bills and local invoices being ignored as well.

Just read that the bid will go up to £500k. Motherwell holding out for £750k.

If this sell on clause is genuine, does that need to be paid to us in one payment or can Motherwell pay that in instalments?!

40% sell on clause is a bit far fetched

Monday night - hignett says paul Watson is terrible

Wednesday morning - “But Pools’ head of recruitment Paul Watson negotiated the add-on as part of the deal, which could prove extremely lucrative.”

Eeee fancy that

Will eagerly be awaiting the announcement that we are now safe from admin,

80k justfundme
65k Simpson
200k? Carson sell on fee
Extra 3500 pay on the door fans for Wrexham game
Plus getting rid of a handful of players off the wage bill

That lot would cover a lot of conference teams budget for the whole season

Also got told that a few teams are in for thomas and i believe they rejected 175k from shrewsbury.
So another sell on could happen.

So Motherwell could be the side that inadvertently finally put us out of business by not selling Carson to Celtic. There has been value for Sage in keeping going through this transfer window in the hope that one such deal goes through. The next decision will be is it worth keeping going until the next window. Also account needs to be taken of the phasing of any payments for players already sold. Presumably all the groups looking to buy the club will have a good handle on when cash might come in. Presumably liquidation would eventually lead to any sell on clauses falling once the club has been closed down (and any phased payments still due), so another benefit for the white knight or administration option would be to keep the sell on clauses alive.

Reading the Scottish Press Celtic have tabled their final offer, £375000 Motherwell want £750000.
It looks like Celtic are looking at other options now including Freddie Woodman from Newcastle although he has promised to sign for Aberdeen.

That can be the only theory for me as to why we have accepted such low bids for players, because we wanted all the money upfront.

In absolutely no circumstances should Carson have been sold for 10-15k, not in a million years, it's fuckin criminal.

Considering sage wanted their money back as quick as possible they've accepted some really low offers for players.

Nathan Thomas went from a million pound player in the January to 250k by may.

classic Football Manager tactics this.

Have a player who's worth 100k. Sell him for 10k but with a stupidly high sell on clause and make more money that you originally would have.

Played a blinder!

The problem here though is the sell on clause is so high, 40%, that motherwell want a incredibly high fee for him to offset the fact they lose so much in sell on clauses.

Over egged the pudding too much.

Given the clubs situation the club might be well served to try and negotiate the % sell on fee down on the proviso the bid is accepted better to get something now than nothing in summer if we gone pop.

The way I read it was that the sell on clause was "up to 40%" which obviously includes bugger all.
