i hope someone gives turner a proper introduction ...when he arrived in 1999 we were bottom of the league and half way through the season but we survived..next three seasons we reached the play offs...the next season he left when promotion was already nailed on....i remember his first home game when the dug outs were under the mill house stand...dressed in a suit white shirt pacing up and down the line shouting waving his arms and urging players on..he laid the foundations for cardiff in 2005 ...happy days but people quickly forget

Yes there is, and they double up as bouncers, ERGO I wouldn't argue with them (and definitely wouldn't fight them)! FACT (no really FACT)

On the 'Hartlepool United Suppoters Trust' page. It's running a bit late as they're trying to cram everyone in.

Either he genuinely cares or he fancies a job as manager of a newly formed club. I'd be happy with both.

Hignett absolutely smashing it here , telling us what we all suspected. Other two guys on the panel as well. Watson and Duxbury want chasing out of the club as soon as possible and the police called in. No wonder they don't want people seeing the books and Musgrave walked away from it. Director of Football and connected to the Agency that the signings were coming from, blatant conflict of interest !

Sage/Blackledge have obviously been quite happy with the arrangement or they wouldn't have allowed it. I wonder why? Seems more justification for why their money has been lost. You would think they might be a little more upset.

He also mentioned not just the recruitment of players, the selling of them for ‘absolute peanuts’ I’d be fairly sure that this self serving leech has had cut in sales. By the way just think of how many players have been sold for fees in the last 12 months. This twat has done very well out of all of this. He’s played a massive part in destroying our club and removing our proud status as a Football League club for his own gain.

Well there is a startling revelation somebody at the club is linked to the agency that represents the players we sign especially the ones we sign and never make the sub's bench never mind play. Whats next someone at the club was linked to the company that installed the turnstiles we paid for and never got. The company that installed the new sprinkler system and pitch has a director called Duxbury or Blackledge or heaven forbid Coxhall. Also as I never went on them the bus company that was used for the free coach travel to away games.

Even more surprisingly people still want to give these specimens money and people wonder why they will not leave.

Watched via Facebook - Quality evening. Difficult to give definitive answers when we don’t know how this will pan out yet but whole thing was reassuring. The board is clearly made up of committed people who are being given good advice by supporters direct.
Ultimately others have been in this position and live on. One way or another our town will have a club and when we get back to the league it will be glorious!

As dr Ward said at the meeting lots of times. The club are giving us nowt. So it’s hard to plan anything or know what to do. We are completely in the dark.

Higgy was good value though.

I'm not convinced that supporters direct are giving any advise other than sit on your hands. I though Richard did well but there was no punchline.

I would have preferred right lads, we can only plan for what we know so if liquidation comes we're gonna do this, this and this and this is what it'll cost If a benefactor comes along then wonderful but let's have a plan for what we know for sure.

Re: Hignett, wasn't he just. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, perhaps he was on a hiding to nothing though, in fact scrap that, he WAS on a hiding to nothing. Clearly feels hard done by and wanted his say, who can blame him.

But asking and answering the difficult questions is the raison d'etre of a trust. No point in beating about the Bush, its a matter of presentation.

It isn't the Trust that are causing the division among the fans is it ? We all know who that is and how close he now is to the people running the club, just like he was to the people running the club this time last year. Investors don't want to see a divided club but its one man and his group of followers who wont get on board the same ones who have been chanting Fuck The Trusts at away games all season. They are already saying they wont support a Phoenix Club and accusing the Trust of wanting one, so the Trust have to stick with the line that they are planning for all outcomes. Personally I will support any club playing in blue and white at the Vic and in any league we end up in. If it takes a 3 division drop to get rid of Duxbury and Watson and the cronies propping them up then it will be a price we have to pay. I agree the Trust Chairman should come out and say that though .

The club will be better off without them anyway. So upsetting them shouldn't matter. And frankly who would care. I don't think anything new was said tonight as Mr I revealed all this month's ago. Mr I not being involved now is not good for the trust. Or pools.

The punchline was missing. Totally agree. In defence of the trust though it’s hard to come up with one as we have not got a fuckin clue what’s going on. Do we have days? Weeks? Months?

We are in the dark. So Is the trust

Hignett laid it all out to what we already knew n added meat to the bones. Fantastic.

In which case you deal with the known knowns.

In my view there are two options; a benefactor or go bust. If its the former then it has to be someone who can service the debt and pay whatever Blakledge is demanding. Whatever happens in this scenario the trust cannot affect it other than making supportive noises. This is extremely unlikely I believe given what we do know. We definitely know that Chris Musgrave was prepared to throw £1.5m into the club but he couldn't establish if that was enough. I don't believe that there is anyone rich enough and daft enough to do both.

That leaves us with going bust. It doesn't really matter whether its administration or liquidation initially because both will end up in the same place very quickly.

Once you face up to those two scenarios then the way forward for the trust is very simple. A statement announcing that the trust believes that a new owner is unlikely albeit still welcome so in the absence of evidence to the contrary the trust have prepared a business plan for a phoenix club. This is how it looks, this is the council's position. This is how much money we believe that it will take to operate from day one. To get through the first season the fans will need to raise this amount of money. Are you willing to work towards that, yes or no.

Negative? maybe. Realistic, definitely. Either way it takes control of the situation rather than saying we don't know.

Incidentally, I believe that all of the trust board have the best intentions but some are misguided.
