The more I actually think about this the more it can’t actually be true, has anyone else actually heard this rumour? Even if the council had loaned the club money it would be in the public domain.

Possibly waiving rates / rent for a period of time?

The rent is nothing, something like £18,000 a year so although that would be a gesture from the council it’s a drop in the ocean in relation to our financial situation.

There’s no way the council would pay Pools wage bill, not a chance.

No chance have the council paid the wages. You just have to think about that for a second to realise it’s absolute rubbish. Imagine the shitstorm if public money was used to prop up a failing business that still has links to Goldberg
