I would never announce an argument as that would give it no time to develop naturally.

Looks like the lady behind the funding page is a Trust member anyway.

The money is being donated in good faith, she’s started the fund in good faith. If it buys time for somebody to come forward and fund the club longer term, then it’s been incredibly worthwhile.

Hopefully it buys a bit of time for Jeff, his consortium and the trust to strut into pools, buy the club, n we can all live happily ever after.

#savepoolsday is also a great idea which has created positive publicity and awareness. I can say that because I don’t give a shit about who came up with it and what’s gong before I only care about the club. All of this nonsense is based on half baked at best personal agendas that evolved from stuff that is totally unimportant in the grand scheme of things years ago. Piss taking threads about fancy dress for example (yes, seriously) Going forward our Trust is going to play a massive role in the future of our football club this shit needs to stop now.

I’m not sure why any fan would encourage people not to donate to the trust when they are trying to secure the future of the club.

But it’s up to him.

Let him get on with it.

I understood it to mean...people were asking if they should donate to the Trust for this 200k thing. Which they shouldn't, they should donate it to the Just Giving page.

Taken as a 'statement' alone this might make sense. However, coupled with other 'statements' you after wonder.

What he meant by it is that he’s claiming to have had messages of concern that the money will be handed to Trust at the end of this and he’s saying that it won’t. The hangers on costing the club £200,000 a month though no problem.....

It just doesn’t need saying when things are so up in the air and uncertain. It’s just more anti Trust agenda and totally uncalled for right now.

For want of a better word the ‘drama’ of our current predicament has lead to the one time opportunity to raise significant funds via Rachel’s page. Fans from all over the country have been very generous but there wouldn’t have been the same influx of money for a club run trust campaign. That money will hopefully be generated by our own fans to sustain the club. I don’t think it’s difficult to separate the two.

I’m actually heartened by the amount of positivity towards HUST and convinced that it is just a minority who are against it, albeit an extremely vocal minority.

They are ridiculously vocal. It would help everyone if they would shut up even for a short while. I haven't read any illwill towards Rachels page anywhere.

As soon as I saw the latest trust statement, I would have put every penny I have on something like that being posted somewhere. Its depressingly predictable. At the same time, it’s just a handful of individuals who can’t seem to get past their own prejudices to see the bigger picture. Who cares who said what to who god knows how many years ago? The club is dying in front of everyone’s eyes and all some people seem to care about is their own egos. Or who is the biggest Pools fan. Or some stupid comment made on a message board years ago. The Just Giving fundraising effort is fantastic, the Trust fundraising effort will be fantastic. Everyone wants the same thing, it’s not a competition as to who ‘cares’ most. I don’t get to many games as I live a four hour round drive away and have financial reasons/a health condition which restrict me. I’m not even from the town, my dad is a lifelong fan and I chose to follow his team rather than my local team. So in some people’s eyes, I’m not qualified to have an opinion because I don’t go every week. But I love this club, it’s been in my blood since my dad took me as an eight year old girl to an away match at Chester in around 1984. It was a 1-1 draw. I forget who scored for Pools although for some reason I remember Stuart Rimmer scored for them. I have some many memories from following Pools, some good, some bad. A load of fans turning up in shower caps at a cup tie at Sheff Utd, not being allowed to run on the pitch during the promotion match v Northampton as we had a train home to catch, Alan Quinn giving us the V’s at Hillsborough and prompting my dad to swear in front of me for the first time, getting promoted despite losing 4-0 at Scunthorpe under Mike Newell, being in an actual cage in the away end at Birmingham before barriers were banned, one guy sitting quietly all game at Lincoln until the air raid siren went off one too many times at which point he stood up, told it where to go and sat back down quietly for the rest of the game, the equaliser against Crystal Palace in the cup and my uncle being the only person on the crowd not to stand up and go mental (he’s not one for showing emotion)....so many memories associated with following this crazy, lovable, frustrating, impossible little club. It means so much to so many people and everyone shows it in different ways but all with the same intention. We might disagree on the best way to save the club but everyone can agree that it has to be saved. So everybody just needs to get on with doing what they’re doing, forget about what other people are doing and just basically get over themselves.

A minor point but the previous months tax and NI needs paying by 22nd of the following month (ie January 22nd) or 19th if paid by post. The date of the 25th often quoted must just relate to the salaries.
