Great to hear that prospective investors and ‘partners’ are talking to the Trust. Hope these meetings next week go well :)

Good statement. Lets keep our fingers crossed that " Our club" continues to exist and moves positivly forward.

Good work everyone. Probably feels a thankless task right now but hopefully the hard work will be worth it.

Great stuff. It’s good to see it reiterated that no one in the Trust WANTS administration. Not that some people will pay any attention to it. Thanks for all the hard work everyone.

Havent heard what Jeff said, but I am extremely happy with the trust statement. At last someone, somewhere, seems to have taken the bull by the horns and done something positive. Compare and cotrast that to the almost stupid statement from the current owners. That statement alone almost makes you realise why the finances are in the mire. I see hope now where there was none a few days ago.

In not so many words giving full support to the trust and said he will put his money where his mouth is if the worst happens and the Trust need to step in to help run the club. Agreed with most needing the money then rather than now although is giving his support to raising the £200k to give us the time for a new owner to be found. Has a meeting Monday with a possible investor and may see the books then too. Seems he has spoken to people who have seen the books and they are shocked by how bad they are. So nothing really new there but good to keep the message going.

Great work lads !

6 interested parties now 2. Wonder if the 4 saw the books and thought fook this for a game of soldiers or did the club give them short shrift as they thought they were shysters looking to make a few quid out a dying football club?. The 2 that are left., are they the good guys or are they the worst of the lot. If The Trust are talking with these people, then who are they and are they genuine ? , and more to the point , savvy , because its no use getting new owners in who havent a clue and are just going to have the club in the same situation a couple of years further down the line. We need owners who are going to give us a vision, a structure and some sort of relative success in the future.

Trust have said they are in talks with an invester and have important meetings early part of next week and are making a statement Tuesday. Stelling backs Trust and says he has a meeting with a potential buyer Monday and will put his money in. Presumably this is the same meeting with one of the two interested parties . If so he or she has at least £3 million in the bank on top of what Trust and JS could put in. Has to be good news if they pull it off. Cant possibly be any worse at running a club than the lunatics currently in charge.
Stelling might also be the one man capable of getting the whole support united behind something.

Everything crossed on that one. A consortium involving Jeff and the Trust would be absolutely brilliant moving forward it would almost make all of this shit we’ve been through worth it if this was how we came out of the other side of it.

It certainly sounds very good news. Well very good news for HUFC and fans that want part fan ownership. Those not on board with the trust should now rethink their stance as this would be great for all fans.

Ideal scenario

Consortium + Jeff + Trust. Pam hands the club over.

All monies raised from fans via go fund me goes to new owners.

Simple as that.

Then we can all go the winchester have a pint n wait for all of this to blow over.

Thing is , in the past 1975,1983,1993 when the club was in the cac, all monies raised went towards keeping the club going. This money looks like it is just going towards keeping Sage here another month, so that they can hang around in the hope of getting their full investment back ( good luck with that one Sage ). In the end the club will still go tits up, only this afternoon rather than this morning.

Its either a Jack Walker or Dave Whelan comes in or the club start again ran by the supporters. After 45 years of watching mostly dross, I now favour the latter over even a sugar daddy. We still might struggle on the field, but I hope the club would be better run, and if it wasnt at least I could have a say or play a part in making it better run. Personally I'm sick of so called expert businessmen running the football club I support.

I think if this happens it’s the best of both worlds, the club survives has some money behind it and the fans involved in the running of the club. The absolute perfect scenario for me.

I share that belief horden, we've too many chancers n modern day digital hipster brown shoed money men over the last couple of years n I just think can we really do a worse job? I don't think we can, the fans have the clubs interests at heart, they wont hide where the money goes too.

I can accept us playing at whatever level we are playing at as long as we are being ran properly and are fulfilling our potential, I hate that we've sold so many good players over the years n the moneys just went up in the air.

Agreeing with PJ, having Jeff/Trust/Supporters Direct all on board would be brilliant (obviously plus whoever the investor is).

Be great having local people and fans in control of the club.

Sounds like Monday could be a massive day in the history of HUFC.

Stelling went out of his way to praise Blackledge, called him a man of integrity, but didn't mention Duxbury or Watson other than saying people should be wary of giving money to them. Make of that what you will but seems clear to me he has pumped money in and those running the club day to day have pished it away.

If he's about to be involved in negotiations to buy the club he isn't going to want to piss Blackledge off too much. Any deal will have to involve Blackledge taking a loss whether he likes it or not and whatever his motives for taking over were originally. No point in either the Trust or Jeff Stelling winding him up in the meantime but lets not forget that the owner is ultimately in charge.

In my view Blakeledge has acted honourably but put his trust in people who simply aren't capable.

The trust seemed to trust Pam and co and within seconds of the trust meeting with Pam, advised fans to buy their season tickets.
That must have been music to the ears of Pam.
I was not convinced and said so at the time, hence no season ticket money from me!
What happened to all the season ticket money, what happened when Pam said that the trust could see the books at the end of June!
I think the trust should have acted sooner!

Well I want to know why suddenly they trusted Pam, when as far as I could see, she was part of the problem.
Pam just wanted the season ticket sales money, and up until that meeting, the trust were advising the fans not to buy!
So how come the sudden turn around!
Also more pressure should have been put on the club when the books were not forthcoming.
Something should have been done last June, kicked this present lot out and the trust should have taken over.
We would not be in the place we are now, if we had acted earlier.
The club has been sucked dry and it was being sucked dry with Pam in control before Coxall walked and all of this season.
Now she wants £300,000. She can whistle for it!!!

I hope someone steps in, saves the club and gets the trust on board.
This could have been done over the summer, now it is too late.
This club will have to start again at the bottom and there won't be much left of it to start off with.

When somebody you don`t know attends a meeting, takes the mike and stands in front of 200 people and promises she will get the club back on track etc, what would you do, disbelieve her?
Taking somebody at face value, I believed her and I usually have more reservations than North America!

I think most of us fell for it at the meeting, only those invisible accounts can give us the answers, assuming they are true. :angry-tappingfoot:

Plus with Jeff being involved to that level it will hopefully help bridge any divide and help the fans be united again.

Ps hope that doesn’t sound too naive

She had a solid financial background, she engaged with the trust and fans, she hired a manager and backed him, she was open and appeared honest, a little nervous, which i found good in a way.

She explained she kind of got the club by default but they were going to make a go of it and had an 18 month plan. Which included fan involvement and opening the books to the supporters trust.

Virtually every fan at the time said right, we'll back you then, what other choice have we got? She seemed different to the previous chairman and assured everyone he was gone and they were running the show.

Hindsight eh...
