and without breaking the confidentiality agreement just be able to tell us whether we're doomed or not? It's the hope that kills.

Well Mr Querty stop all this worrying. We are fucked and we don’t need to see the books to know we are doomed.

Just a hunch like, I haven’t really read any press releases and statements or seen social media or TV or newspapers reports.

Just have this nagging doubt all is not well

The trust have been asking to see the books since june.

I think we deserve to know the state the club is in and why, especially with so many fans putting their own money in a pot to potentially give the club.

if prospective buyers are in contact with the Trust then that surely suggests they want the Trust involved and therefore will have access to the books? (obviously providing the prospective buyers have the requisite £3m?)

Indeed the Trust should be allowed unlimited access to the books. After all Duxbury stated that she believes fan ownership was the future.

This must happen. But to Qwerty’s point the Trust ain’t going to divulge what’s going on, confidentiality and business ethics will see to that. And they don’t need to. The club is in a mess with a broken and unsustainable business model. No amount of hoping or genuinely brilliant and generous offers of support both financial and moral will change that.

Only competent new ownership will. The Trust deserves a chance to be that.

perhaps its because a peep at the books may reveal which former chairman the club are still making payment to ??

Company law aspect ...... Article 101 of the company's Articles of Association confirms that no shareholder (as such) has a right to inspect the company's accounting records, and that is actually the situation for most companies.

To view the Articles of Association, and indeed the Memorandum of Association, see :-

This is confirmed, for example, by :-
