You need to get Connor Simpson on from the start, i've seen enough of him to realise that he's good enough to be starting games, get him upfront with Cassidy, two opportunities to get the ball down lay it off to Franks then to whip it in for the two of them to get on the end of.
Do it now it needs to change, whatever we've tried so far doesn't work, you need to experiment. A 5 minute cameo at the end of games isn't working. banghead

I don’t I have ever seen Franks whip a decent cross in (actually he did for Simpson’s goal against Maidstone but that was a collectors item!) he’s not a winger he’s more of a striker/inside forward. Part of the and one of the main reasons we can’t effectively play an orthodox 4-4-2 is we don’t really have wingers apart from young Blackford. Simpson will probably sold for next to nothing anyway this month...

I mean I respect the fact that people have different opinions, but how you can come to the conclusion that he is good enough to be starting games is nearly as baffling as your Flat Earth tripe.

He's had one good game and in the rest has looked like a boy playing in a man's game.

He’s not flat Earth man Mr B

I think it just sadly highlights how desperate things are when some are pinning hopes on a 17 year old kid as the saviour.

Agree with MrB, one good game against Maidstone or Maidenhead or whoever it was but they were diabolical that day, they didnt put a single challenge in all game or contest headers etc. Fuck me even we bullied them and I seem to remember even Franks beating 2 or 3 of them and they didnt even bother putting a hand on him.

Will probably be a decent player when he fills out some more.

What are you on about ....flat earth?, more like you've got a flat head.

Yes let's wrap the kid in cotton wool and then give him away for a pittance, might as well not be in the squad.

He has potential but he's very very raw and i dont think he's ready to be relied on in an away game when we are struggling.

We have another 'injury crisis' tomorrow to deal with.

Subs are made too late to be effective.

Several players are shot by 70 minutes and should have been subbed earlier.

Is it only me who sees this? :angry-jumpinganger:

If wages are a problem, then you wanna reduce the amount of appearance fees your dishing out.

This is obviously just me putting 2 n 2 together n maybe getting 5. I have absolutely no proof of this other than the wage related issues i've read in the papers.

But is it a coincidence he's started to be hesitant with subs?

He was a reactive manager from the start, he'd not hesitate in changing formation at half time, doing 2-3 subs etc. Now he's hesitant.

He's talking like a broken man in the mail today, quotes like "this is the situation and we just have to get on with it" when on about these 'injuries'.

To be fair Franks has hugely improved his crossing since returning but there just hasn't been anyone in the middle good enough to make use of it.

Not saying that we should therefore be starting both Cassidy and Simpson but at this level Franks can be a half decent winger.

I can see where your comming from but to be fair in some of the comments franksys crossing had improved a little bit but not that much in all fairness I can remember him taking many corners before and it woudnt even beat the first man let alone get it in the box for Cassidy and Simpson same with his crossing to sometimes doesn't even beat the first man it's what we lack a decent winger who can beat a man like Nathan Thomas and whip one hell of a cross in, Frank's does work his Arse off but it's what we lack a decent winger or two like we lack in many other departments.

it makes no difference what so ever regarding the 4 4 2 system
harrison has made it clear that he will never use 4 4 2
i doubt he could make it work anyway

so only 19 games left and he has stated on the OS that
the hard work will payoff

weve done our homework on them
that makes a change from weve had them watched

so the people he uses to watch teams he must trust
so why not get the self same people watch us and
then LISTEN to what they have to say

19 games left and he still has to work on BASIC DEFENSIVE WORK

makes no difference really
if we dont go on a decent run of wins he will be shown the door
or if new owners/investors come forth he will be shown the door

so he cant win really just like us
and i don,t blame the players one little bit

Rumour has it they are soon to auction John McPhails match worn sweaty duds that he was pictured wearing in the changing room after the Northampton promotion game.

Out of position, usually a CB or RB. Although I scored my first and only Sunday league goal out of position at LB.

I missed the game against Maidstone and there's a good chance that I'm missing something about Simpson however I've seen nothing from him that should in any way deter the club from cashing in on whatever PNE or whoever else offer for him. OK so he may develop into a future asset given time but at present HUFC doesn't have either time or a future. Cashing in on fringe players and the six or seven no-hopers now may be crucial in sustaining the club until such time that a potential buyer has completely taken over and the cub can rid itself of Sage and daft-arse Harrison.

I cannot understand that some of our fan's would be happy with losing some of our promising young players for paltrey amoumts such as £65k, unlike many of our fan's I've seen Simpson play several times and seen enough to realise that he has many traits that will serve him well in Pro football. But £65k ffs .....what an insult that would be.
