You can't have enough inquisitions.

People forgetting that they're talking to actual, real people with feelings of their own and being unbelievably vile is common as muck on the Internet. Using real names doesn't even seem to help that much: just look at Facebook and Twitter. People have gone to jail for posting death threats under their own name. There's just something about being behind a screen and keyboard that makes people go daft.

I agree, the Facebook page is by far the worst ever Pools forum and just about everyone apart from that clearly touched Smurthwaite fella seems happy to talk absolute garbage using their own name. I removed myself from it about two and half years ago.

It’s all toxic right now, fractions everywhere from journalists to blokes in China again making laughable, bonkers and totally out of touch comments about IOR being hounded out of the club to threats of legal action and people being played like puppets because some fancy dress got the piss taken out of years ago. The main reason for that satire (which is all it was, after the day the reaction was always positive) was due to the secrecy and ego involved in it all. That was clearly way wide of the mark eh? It’s would be incredibly funny if it wasn’t so sad and lots of really of mainly decent people weren’t too full of themselves and took a step back for the greater good. Happy New Year and shape up you pack of rarfs

I moved down South a long time ago and haven't done a good job of keeping up with Pools since then, but it all seems completely bonkers from my distant perspective. If there's ever been a time for fans to come together, this is it[1], but instead we have people threatening violence because of some message board drama I know nowt about. It's madness.

[1] I signed up for the trust the day we were relegated. It's plain as the nose on your face that the club's in trouble now.

In the days before becoming a bus driver I wasn’t No6bus but can’t remember what user name I had, in the nineties when I was a school caretaker I posted on the pools boards including the one the late Paul Mullen set up, I often asked him technical questions when I was in the club mainly on a Friday when picking up the pools on the move stuff from Bill Waites. This was in the old days of dial up connections. Think I may have simply been robin.rumble on some of the boards, now I am over 60 I can’t bloody remember

No but I once accused somebody getting off the bus at about 12:30 on a match day at the mill house bus stop of being Dibble, he wasn’t impressed

I once accused Dibble to his face of being Dibble AND HE DIDN'T DENY IT.
