I can only think of one Trust meeting that was held at the Corner Flag. I may be wrong but I'd guess you saying 'most of their meetings' is further from the truth and you probably know that.

‘........Shows how it isn't been run correctly then doesn't it, because first if all yes, your a charity, your a trust every thing has got to be transparent, every penny, cost s etc to every member, this is not a business, this I repeat is a trust, a charity.

Next yes it is clear if you have plans to make a offer to take over the club, which I understand that is what the recent vote is about, then yes you should have in details for members to read how you plan to do this, how the trust plan to use there money raised to do so, and how they plan to to move forward once they have control of the club, now remember this is not a darlo who have gone bust and started as a new team, this is a fully working football club, that is still running as Hartlepool United LTD, you go in to a solicitor with oh we want to run the club and that's it, he will laugh at you, and members need to know how much this is going to cost them and what would be expected of them, oh sorry is that to business like, and makes too much sense and not pipe dream fantasy football.

This is real life not fantasy football, you know what from a outsider you look amateur, I even asked a friend of mine who is now chairman of a trust to look threw your statements, how it looks from the outside, in case I was been to harsh and was wrong, and even he said doesn't look very professional at all, he felt it looks made up as you go along.

The trust needs a total reorganizing from top to bottom, but it own happen and I don't need to say who or who......’

Oh, and if he moans that he’s being mocked again, then with this sort of shite it’s fully deserved !

One of the problems here is that I’ve read that twice and I honestly don’t know what he’s on about it makes no sense. Maybe some one to one dialogue is needed whatever he’s trying to say is being lost in translation and he’s clearly got little or no understanding of Trusts.

I’m not sure if copying and pasting stuff directly off the other forum is helpful to be honest. Everyone knows what a few of them believe already, it’s been done to death.

Reading a lot of the comments on the FB page and on the other board it is clear that some people STILL don't really understand what the Trust is all about. They still think it is about taking over the club and ask how this can be done with £16K in the bank.
Does it need to be spelt out in the clearest terms possible just what the aims are so that nobody ( except maybe those who do not want to understand) is under any misconceptions.
I understand the animosity of some to things that have been said in the past. People have been ridiculed, laughed at and ultimately banned off the Bunker for having a different view to the "clique" who were responsible for a lot of this. I was banned myself at one stage for daring to have a different point of view. However, that was in the past and it is now time to move on.
We all want the same thing, and that is to see HUFC survive. We cannot achieve that if people are pulling in different directions. NOW is the time for people to get together or it will be too late and there will be no club left to save!

Absolutely spot on Geoff. I have tried to spell stuff out on CB groups to the doubters with some success, but a few are really misinformed.

Is there a definitive page of the trust website we can link to which sets out what the trust is about?

I agree but its too long and complicated for some to understand. It just needs spelling out in a few simple bullet points with reference to the supporters direct page to back these up.

It would be nigh on impossible for some off another board to understand. I often have a look over there and to be honest, looking at a lot of the posts, I wonder if english is the first language of some of their posters.

I was reading the LOFT site earlier and something all the lines of the following would be good I think - http://www.leytonorientfanstrust.com/about.asp

Answers in plain English. I like this line ‘They make and approve policy, they elect a Board and if they don't like them they'll kick them out and elect a new one.‘ People need this rammed down their throats frankly.

One member, one vote. Fully democratic, legal and accountable to its members.

GeoffcN you are one of the people o have come to respect most over this whole period of the last year or so.

Excellent post on this thread again, I agree that you have had your fair share of run ins/piss taking/banter (or whatever you want to call it) on here. However as the evidence piled up and the shit hit the fan with regards Pools you have looked at it objectively and not fannied off in a hissy fit like others. I respect the fact you’ve tried to educate and persuade those who unlike you can’t get over some supposed slight on the Bunker in the past. You want the best for Pools full stop.

Regarding the piss taking I think an earlier post nailed it, whilst the Bunker can be cliquey and ignorant at times (it has never pretended not to be) I think the hidden agenda is the fancy dress piss taking and super fan status some want. Hence this continued desire to divert people from the Trust.

Anyways it is going to be what it’s going to be, The Trust is he future in some capacity for all small/lower league clubs in the end so I hope the Board members just crack on and try to ignore the sniping

Agreed aswel, one of the few who has used common sense and shown how much he loves his club.

I do love the club and have done for over 50 years. What is happening is heartbreaking. I have never know such animosity amongst fans. At the end of the day we are all Poolies.

Spot on guy Geoff. I’ll admit I was harsh over him before. Can’t even remember why. Sorry about that. Good to see fans getting on in the right places.
