Can any of you let me know of reliable person to look at my central heating boiler. its playing up. I think the pressure vessel needs repressurising ?

I think I read a similar topic a while ago any links to that would be appreciated as well.

I live in Hartlepool, Post or PM me, Cheers Like.

Pressure vessel only relates to the Central Heating, there is usually a pressure gauge located near the tank that should be measuring upto 1.5 or 2 bar (usually). If it is below that number it could do with filling. There is usually a small valve (sometimes 2) on the water inlet/outlet to the pressure vessel. Open one or both of the valves and fill the pressure vessel until 1.5 bar is reached. Close the valve (s).

If your pressure vessel is continuously losing pressure there is probably a leak somewhere, favoured places are radiator valves or bleed points.

Did the same thing this morning. Twiddle about with the valves to get the pressure up. I find it usually drops after a cold spell like the one we just had, so heating doesn't come on. My dads boiler has a leak and he has to go up to the loft every now and again to top it up. Shouldn't be any need to get anyone out if its a simple problem like this. Keep your money in your pocket.

Thanks People done all that ,
goes sky high even when pressurized to 1.5 Bar,
Then when heating on after 30 mins it climbs to 3.2 Bar then.. vents itself,
due to high pressure, then overnight when not on, drops to below one Bar, or lower
Then pressure too low,

repeat adding water by opening the valves and closing them usually I would just pressurise by opening valves or if pressure got too high go round the radiators and bleed off. Hence need for Heating Engineer.
because none of the above stabilising system, Thanks for good advice.

But Need Heating engineer sadx sadx

This just a guess from 3000 miles away, but it sounds more like your thermal overheat cutout switch is stuck closed so you are constantly heating and thus the blowoff. If you have a dual feed cylinder, 1 from the boiler and 1 from an immersion element. Switch off the boiler and try the electric feed instead after re pressurising the pressure vessel. There is usually a separate thermal cut off switch for the electric heating element and if the water heats up like normal and doesn't vent, your problem is with the thermal cut off circuits in the boiler side somewhere.

Give Carl Gleeson a ring 01429 551519 or 07900933156. Never let me down, ever. Whatever you do, do not use a company between Expamet and MED

I would have thought an excesskive gas situation would have been your issue. :o

If in doubt about the supply undo the hoses and light a match to see if there is any gas getting through.
