This is following the same path as the latter days of Colin Cooper and Hignett. Listened to game on Radio Tees yesterday. Harrison coming out with the usual waffle before the game, had a good week on the training field , just need to iron out a few problems etc, the same crap he has came out with all season. When are these problems going to be ironed out exactly? why weren't they ironed out yesterday after the Ebbsfleet debacle?.

Again he starts with the wrong team , wrong formation, but that's just my opinion. No start for Hawkins, no start for Adeloye.

Listening to the game, its as simple as this, the players as a grouo are just not good enough. Maybe if we had 2 or 3 decent players in key areas, a spine so to speak, particularly and attack minded central midfielder and a centre forward like Bob Newton or even Ryan Bird, we could make a fist of it in this league.

The amount of times the commentator said words like, Newton has over run it, Oates blasts over, Munns has over hit it ( corner ) suggests the technique of the players is appalling. This is not the technique as displayed by Lionel Messi and Jermain Defoe ( yesterdays goal at Bournemouth ) this is basic stuff that a schoolboy could do, trapping a ball etc. We are woeful.

Then Harrison steps in to save the game. What does he do, similar to Ebbsfleet where he took Featherstone off and replaced him with Munns , he took Ledger off and replaced him with Adams. Now I appreciate it he wanted us to get back into the game, but you don't leave the back door open to concede another goal that effectively is game over. Again schoolboy stuff from this time the manager. Ledger hadn't done too badly up until then and it seemed was starting to really get a foothold in the game after half time. He has unfairly been left out of the side, yet gets back in and is substituted in his first game back without doing anything wrong, will do wonders for his confidence.

Just like under Cooper and Hignett, the few players who were performing above average if nothing else, are now starting to under perform, Loach, Deverdics, Cassidy spring to mind.

Harrison should play a full strength team at Workington, in hope of restoring pride and confidence, but I have so little faith in him, he will probably field a weakened team.

We all know hand on heart, how this is going to play out dont we?.

The squad is full of chronic losers who don’t know how to win or have any real drive to win.

Basically, for several years, our teams have looked gutless. No heart, no fight, no pride. Contractor footballers drawing their money and going about their job...... the days of even some players having an affection for the club appear to have gone.

Agree ! Only the players we sign can rarely get contracts anywhere else.
