Depends if we get a bank holiday for it.

Yes if we do. Couldn’t give a fuck if we don’t.

Great. If the newly weds regularly dine with liz and Phil they will be saying “like” every other word. The six knives and forks will be binned, to be replaced with a single fork with one side able to split food with its edge and a big spoon to shovel up the rest. In addition One must only use one hand when doing so

The Royal Family are parasites. His parents should have to fork out for the wedding, like everyone else's parents have to, but no doubt the tax payer will be paying for this, and for the little brats that will no doubt soon follow.

The good news is if they buy a home worth less than £300,000, they'll pay no stamp duty.

Just wondering like, if terrorists launched a Scud at the wedding in progress, who would be next in line to the throne and who would be the new prime minister?

Playing devils adovacate slightly are they really parasites? Loads of horrible shit is going on in the World these days I don’t think the monarchy are one the worst things in it. I reckon especially William and Harry are positive role models considering the far from normal upbringing they’ve had they both come across incredibly well. They have both served their nana and country as well. I think the monarchy as a whole are a positive for the UK and help give us an identity abroad.

Plus do they really cost us that much? Surely it’s outweighed by what they bring in tourism wise and I’m sure even a royal wedding is fairly good for the economy. I know I got pissed during the last one. It would sum the state of politics up in this country and how out of touch it is with public feeling if they didn’t make it a public holiday.

The worst thing about the royals are the twats who make a living from talking shite about them. ‘Royal experts’ who just speculate endlessly without actually knowing anything. They’ll be quids in for the next few months turning up everywhere talking utter gubbins.

They just got given over £300 million from the public purse to do their house up, and the queen has been investing her money in offshore schemes to pay less tax.

At a time when local councils cant afford 5 grand to fire proof a building that would have saved lives it does stick in the throat a bit.

Theirs loaded Yank families who spend that on a fortnight here to see ‘Buuuckinghamm Palace’

I wish they’d have asked my Dad to put a quote in he’d have done it less for less than that.

Prince Harry is allowed to bring over his foreign spouse - unlike a third of British people.

Is it right hat Prince Harry and those who earn above the minimum wage are a select percentage of the population who can marry whoever they choose?

What are you on about now ha ha!! Come on Horden that post is verging on Twilight levels of daftness!!

She is an American, famous actress. I think she would probably be able to obtain a UK Visa without arroussing suspicions about it being for a passport.

I think we live in a fairly liberal, free country and can all marry whoever we choose. Meghan Markel coming over ‘ere stealing our jobs!!

The ultimate irony in your post is if his mother and father had been allowed to marry who they wanted Prince Harry wouldn’t have been born. It was as close to an arranged marriage as you’ll ever see. This shows the monarchy is at least capable of moving with the times, him and his brother have been allowed to meet and marry whoever they liked.

American, famous, that is what I'm trying to highlight, the hypocrisy of it all, in reality the UK is not that liberal, free country at all. Had she been say an ordinary Mexican , had not been able to speak English , pass a citizenship test , and her partner earned less than 18k she would likely of not been let in.

I’m really struggling with the hypocrisy to be honest. Theirs fairly obvious and sensible reasons why those rules are in place the way the World is these days. If you are earning low income and are bringing in a dependent person who’s without an income how’s that going to work? Also you then have the bigger problem of people trafficking/forced marriage/internet brides. Geniuine people will prevail but it’s because of all the other shit they face so much red tape. What any of that has got to do with Prince Harry is beyond me.

You’ve not been trying to order a Thai bride have you   go there and get one it will be a far more enjoyable experience, you might ‘find yourself’

Anyone can marry who they choose eventually. Your low earner could get married in Mexico then move back here. Where’s he met this lass by the way!?

I can’t buy a Ferrari is someone who’s flying past my Hyundai in one every ten minutes here an example of hypocrisy? It’s the World, some people have more money than others.

Maybe, but not be able to live with them in the UK , unless criteria was met. My example , say someone met someone via the internet, seems to be the modern way of meeting people these days..

I have no problem with some people having more money than others, as long as they have earned it. The Monarchy havent.

Was it any of the people in the Monarchy’s choice to be in it? They were born into it. A ‘normal’ person certainly is born with less privilege but arguably more opportunity and certainly more freedom. What do you want them to do to earn it? Work on the bins?

Like I’ve already said it could be argued that they do earn money in terms of tourism. What are the images of Great Britain that are synonymous abroad? Beefeaters, The Union Jack, Red Phone boxes and Buckingham Palace. All of that gear associated with the monarchy. I’m no royalist, it bores me to death to be honest but I can see it’s worth and place.

Again that’s just a bit daft come on you’re getter than that.

Nothing will ever change that, people will always be worse off than others whether we have a royal family or not. Get rid of the Royals and you still have the same not nice people running our politics.

Were they hell born into it, not initially anyway. They originate from a long line of ancestry , who were greedy, ruthless, power crazy b*stards who through brute force imposed themselves on the people and used and abused them, through hard work, little pay, living in mud huts and fighting in their armies from time to time against other greedy ruthless power crazy b*stards.

The tourists would still come regardless of whether they existed or not, the buildings and history would still be there. The Royal Parasites make millions out of rents from the vast amount of property and land they own across the Britain. They take out a lot more than they bring in.

I’m sure the current Royal Family were all given a full briefing at birth on this and given a choice to continue or not. Most just cried or went to kip being minutes old.

I am clearly not taking about the origins or the Royal Family am I, I am taking about now in the World we live in.

Humanitarian, fair play to her. She has studied international affairs, so wonder if she is aware of Britain's bloody slaughter of innocent peoples. Still she is American so probably sees it the way she wants to see it I suppose. Were the good guys and everyone else are the baddies.

The Royal Family costs the British taxpayer about 60 million a year. £1 each.

The revenue they bring in is over £500m a year.

Lewis Hamilton "avoids" more than £50m in tax a year, why isn't he being called a parasite? Or Amazon? Or Google? Or Starbucks?

We were born into a shit part of the world, deal with it instead of being so bitter. Affect what you can and you'#ll have a much happier life. Fact.

Bank Holiday? He's only fourth in line to the throne! Probably relegated to the royal equivalent of the Northern Premier League by the time William and Kate have finished knocking them out.

One thing the Windsors are good at is spotting a decent pair of child-bearing hips. None of your heir-less Tudor nonsense with this family - they all live for yonks and breed like rabbits.

They take a lot more out of the system.

I do call the others parasites.

I hate this assumption that all those of a left wing persuasion are not happy. I am no happier or sadder than anyone else, certainly not bitter, just someone with a strong sense of injustice. Certainly turning a blind eye , pretending everything is rosey in the garden is not for me.

Ignorance is bliss is I think what you mean.

Oh ok, so independent reports are wrong but you're right.

You're starting to sounds like Twilight, or those people that believed IOR wrote off a real debt.

You mean they didn’t write £14,000,000 off as a good gesture?

Hate to break it to you but... bbolt

They just got given over £300 million from the public purse to do their house up, and the queen has been investing her money in offshore schemes to pay less tax.

At a time when local councils cant afford 5 grand to fire proof a building that would have saved lives it does stick in the throat a bit.

Not quite correct.

The Monarch contributes to the treasury in the same way us simple folk do. It then receives a "purse" to carry out maintenance as it deems necessary. So in reality, it's kind of paying for itself.

On the wedding, fantastic.....Harry is a great role model having served in Afghanistan etc and she is super hot.
