Luke George had a very good game, he can hold the ball, turn out of problems and find a man; not just breaking up their midfield although he certainly did that a lot.

Got him on a free transfer from Newcastle in 1953 and he bagged 60 goals in 186 first team appearances over the next six years. Not bad for a winger. and then we got £4,000 when the geordies bought him back. That's £17,000,000 in modern money.

Richardson Kenton was a hell of a player for Pools back in the day.

George or Donnerley need to change their appearances as they look too similar. Maybe one with a dyed blue hair and beard?

Those posts look too similar. Maybe you could get one to grow a beard?

When George came on as a late sub for Woods in the home game with Sutton I did wonder when was the last time, if ever, Pools had such a beardy midfield trio? Hawkins, Donnelly, George.

There you go MJ - stumped this time, surely?

Hmm.

Facial hair of a sort, but not the proper "Love the beard nursie, gives me something to hang onto" Full Sets sported by Donnelly and George.

That hipster look is on the way out, but I'm not sure I'd want to tell either of those gadgies they were looking a bit dated.
