Had to come off early on Tuesday night because he's got a hernia.

According to the manager it's up to Magnay whether he goes for an early opp and is back in the New Year or, like Featherstone last spring, plays on with the injury.

Personally I reckon it's a no brainer - have the op now! Yes, he'll be a miss, but struggling on with an injury till next May would be ridiculous.

Feathersone tried it for a few months and his form was definitely affected by the injury.

If we could get a decent replacement he should have the op but I don't think we have/will

Stop press! (er, yesterday's Echo...). He's probably going to have the op next week and could be out for 8 weeks. But Craig Harrison doesn't sound keen, so maybe not!

Donnelly or Richardson can step up while he's missing

Donnelly is good at centre back and in centre midfield. He’s not a very good full back.

Magnay is having the hernia op this week, so Donnelly, Richardson (or Ledger) will get a run in the side at RB.

Were quite lucky we have replacements for all 10 outfield spots in the squad. Theres not one outfield position where if we were missing our first choice player - that I would be worried to be honest.

I cant remember many other seasons like that, generally always one or two players you would know you would struggle without.

I'd have no issues with Kenton Richardson having a run in the side, thought he looked very promising when used last season.
