"Dundee United have parted company with manager Ray McKinnon following back-to-back league defeats.
The Tannadice club currently sit fourth in the Championship, five points behind leaders St Mirren".

Back to back league defeats OUCH !

The world , or at least the world of football has gone mad.

Dundee United would not normally expect to half way up the table in Scotland's second tier they are traditionally one of the bigger clubs in fairness it's not as half as bonkers as some of the sackings in this country these days especially in the top flight.

It's like Pools having back to back defeats in the national league, it just shouldn't happen.

Not like you to attempt spoil a good story PJ  You have a point though, something that crossed my mind when posting. Yes Dundee United like our own Newcastle, Sunderland are a club who expect to be in top flight, but if they have the odd season when they get relegated, its imperative that they bounce straight back, same applies to Hearts, Hibs, Dundee etc.

So in that respect it isn't as mad a decision as it may first sound, especially when said division only contains 10 teams. It shows either ambition on Dundee United's part , that they feel they must get back into Premier league, or maybe its fear of not getting back. Still 4th position, 5 pts behind leaders, , you wonder if sacking Mckinnon really was the answer , or whether sticking with him , and hoping that things would of improved would of been an altogether better proposition. As usual only time will tell.
