Can't see him staying at pools that long with another cracking performance today to be fair I don't really know how we got him in the first place, Them 2 saves at guisley were near enough world class in my opinion, God knows how many points he has saved us this season.

The club is desperate to go up first time of asking. We won't go up without him so I'd like to think we would reject any offer and tell him he has to wait till end of season tbh.

Same I'm with tree, but if a decent offer comes January then it would be hard to turn down in my opinion.

Sounds like Prov after Coooperman gave him his chance.

He's more Dimi than Provett, a big unit, commanding.

I think he was at Darlo at one point as player/coach not sure to be honest. He was never quite big enough to have a long career at Football League level a but similar to Adam Bartlett for me in that sense.

Yes he was with us for about 2 seasons and played a couple of daft cup games. Left about 18 months ago but not sure where he ended up.

I remember that game at Sheffield Weds. He stopped a load of shots that he had no business saving. That night he was incredible.

Provett actually played against us in the Northern League for Norton and was exceptional despite being on the wrong end of hammerings. Would have been double figures if he hadn't been in goal.

I wish we had someone as effective as Loach has been at the other end of the field.

Yesterday exposed again our very very average forward options.

It's a fair point we've got potential in Rodney and Simpson, and Oates is an honest player but not the best ability wise so we do lack a bit of spark in the final third, Franks is a willing runner and has a goal in him but he's not a dynamic player who's going to excite you either. I hope the signing of these two lads in short term deals means that we maybe have a striker from a League club lined up for January? They look a bit pointless when they can't even make the bench though. Hopefully with Cassidy back and an addition or two we can be more prolific in the final third come the business end of the season. Maybe we need to try and get more out of Munns and Deverdics who are probably our most creative players, one has barely ever played in his proper position in over a season and the other can't keep himself in the team and seems to get subbed after an hour when he starts. A goal threat from centre midfield is also something we've lacked in recent years after a spell having players like Beech, Cullen, Miller, Tinkler, Sweeney and others who used to score regularly from the middle of the park.

A lot is being said about tactics and so called negative football but I can understand a pragmatic approach from Harrison with what he has available. We were only seconds away from another win yesterday and all in all it's one defeat in eleven games. For all of these people crying out for this attacking style what team are we playing form what is available that will see a better points return than 21 from the last 10 league games, which is promotion form? This League isn't pretty, teams are physical and streetwise. They break up play, commit cynical fouls and battle for every second ball. The nature of this league isn't going lend itself to attractive football it is what it is unfortunately. Hopefully though we can evolve and adjust more so we can dictate games in the second half of the season, but that comes second to points on the board every time for me.

Yesterday with a bit more of a cutting edge, Rodney finishing that chance at the Town End, and we'd have won comfortably.

We didn't have the confidence nor ability to get in and take chances and that puts pressure on the rest of the team.

People talk about attack being the best form of defence and I get that because with the wind behind Sutton there was a sense of inevitability they would equalise as we kept letting them have the ball and we didn't occupy there big fat lad at the back anywhere near enough. The gut on him and his lack of mobility should've had Rodney et al rubbing their hands together.

PJ is right to point to a lack of an edge in midfield too. Pose very little threat on goal all round and it'll be that I feel that will mean we'll still be in this league next year

I thought Rodney and Oates gave their defence plenty to think about in the first half. Second half started ok but when they both tired Harrison for once got his substitutions wrong.

Bringing on Adams (in midfield!) basically signaled Pools were going to try to shut up shop - we already had a very defensive minded midfield with Donnelly in for Featherstone.
After that Pools conceded way too much ground to Sutton, who got in cross after cross. Long wait for the inevitable equaliser.

Munns is a busy player who can hold onto possession and has some attacking threat; no idea why he wasn't preferred to Adams in that situation.
