This was about as hard a draw as we could have got. South Shields are far better team than the level they're at and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they are at least a National League club within five years.

We aren't a good side, we are quite an inexperienced side and we have a makeshift back four. It's no surprise to me at all.

We're playing a team brimming with confidence on their own patch. We've pretty much relied on luck and an atrocious standard of opposition to sit mid-table so far this season.

Harrison did shut me up by putting a decent run together but I'm still far from convinced by the team's performances.

I just hope we can scrape a draw against a Northern League Div 1 team!

Get in. Glad to see we are taking the competition seriously this year. I've always thought we should. Teams like Bolton and Sunderland haven't always done that for some reason but I'm glad we aren't like them.
