I thought tickets were sold on a strictly 1 per season ticket holder basis?

The photo on the HUFC site of the first 2 who queued from 2AM (respect but bordering on OCD!) shows them proudly displaying what appears to be almost half the tickets we have been allocated!

Even if they have a family the population of the Headland are you allowed to rock up with dozens of season tickets and collect for others?

Also a 5 hour shift?? Part timer!

Think they announced you could turn up with however many season tickets you liked but just 1 ticket per season ticket.

Aye it is but they probably got their mates season tickets to get theirs. 10am on a Tuesday isn't ideal for everyone to go down and get their ticket, I wasn't planning on going anyway but if I were there was no way I could make it to get a ticket, I would've passed mine on to somebody else.

Respect to those lads, they were there 4 hours before me. See them at every Away game and I would imagine those tickets were for the same gang that travel the length and breadth of the country every week. It was as many as you liked, as long as you had the S/T's in your hand. No "fairer" way of doing it IMO.

My dad managed to get me and him tickets and got there about 9am. Another advantage of him being retired, chuffed he got them though.

Me and My Dad did the same. Only got our own two tickets, I queued from 6, he queued from 8.

yup, those 2 lads got 14 tickets

I agree with you Chris. The limit should have been say 5...however...the lads who got them were getting them for the right people (Corner Flag bus regulars) and I can see both sides.

To save arguments I reckon we should beat South Shields, romp through the next couple of rounds and then get a nice away tie at Wembley against Spurs. No shortage of tickets no matter how many people called Ben snapped up first thing.

Two of the best and rightly so they were first in queue.

They've gone with St Albans v Boreham Wood for TV so getting tickets is only way to see the game live. Unless...could it be...yes it's hatman!

Home tickets on general sale tomorrow but need proof of address. Most people will know someone who lives in the area so bit of a pointless exercise added to the fact they may be Shields who live closer to Hartlepool who'd miss out if this rule was applied strictly

We should start selling Ben licence plates in the gift shop.

Are people really going mad about them selling one ticket per season ticket?

How else were they meant to do it? The nature of first come first first served is that people will miss out. Also you can't refuse a season ticket a ticket whether it's one person with twenty of them or two people with two. The problem is only 400 tickets for game less than 30 miles away. How that is Pools 'cock up' is beyond me.

I'm sure everyone who genuinely wants to see the game will be able to. People just love a whinge.

Agree with PJ. Also people saying Pools should have offered tickets first to people with tickets from last three away games. Doubt many would have kept their tickets as we didn’t know we would be playing South Shields.

Will the trust helicopter be hovering over mariners park to allow any trust members without a ticket to watch the game? Might mean stocking up on more home made prawn sandwiches than usual.

I think we should revive the Ticket Stub Elite.

Rightly or wrongly, I don't think many people would have said no to someone offering to go get tickets for them and it's hardly a surprise what happened either, that's why I went down at 6 to make I got them.

Those suggesting that the tickets should have gone to those with 'three vouchers' from previous away games???

How exactly? Since the draw we have played away once. Are we using time travel to award these mythical vouchers? You could go to every single away game and bin the ticket stub the second you go through the turnstile. 'Checking the database' doesn't work either, does that even record sales for away games? Most people just pay in to most away games anyway theirs
no record of attendance.

Pools had literally no other way of doing this, you can't say "no you can't have a ticket with that season ticket" It's life, first come first served. The lads at the front turned up at 2am and by all accounts are at every match are people suggesting they should have only been able to get two tickets?? It's not Pools fault that we got 400 tickets for a game less than 30 miles away.

Obviously the Trust board have got freebies in the directors box anyway so no need to deploy the Jet Ranger.

I heard he was the victim of illegal rendition - middle of the night and he was bundled into the back of a Little Rascal van that was sign written with stuff about real bread and warm milk. By the time they got to the RAF station he was heard begging the guards to ,"Stop that fucker going on about crusts and telling bad jokes, I can't take anymore, I'll tell you whatever you want." Then sprinted across the tarmac stuck his own head in a bag and offered to go, "Anywhere as long as it is away from him, please don't tell me about the dog again."

If Heineken wrote kidnappings....although there would have been a slapping involved.

You never know those 400 may be the only people to ever see Pools in the qualifying rounds of the FA cup when we go back up again and stay in the football league for the next 100 years.

That will be something to boast about when we are in the Premiership.

No problem for me. I got my tickets ages ago, right on the back of our win against Stoke.
