When the fuck did people start using 'so' to start sentences when talkng????

It really does my head right in....so annoying!!!! banghead

Couldn't agree more Muttley, hear it all the bloody time, probably think it makes them sound as if they know what they're talking about, well it doesn't! It's like when they interview Irish jockeys they always start a sentence with 'listen'.

Look, if we were in Australia nobody would start a sentence with 'so' or 'listen' -
cause they say feckin' 'Look' all the time!

There's a 50 grand research project in there for an underemployed academic.

Are they Irish? Got an Irish mate who does this. Seems to equate to 'then'. As in "That'll be my round so".
