After a week of optimism, Pools revert to type and demonstrate why a return to Football League status is beyond the club. The inability to beat lowly teams resulted in last season's disaster and will ensure that we must look forward to another season of non-league football. Losing £25 hasn't helped my demeanor!

Formations are only ever mentioned when you lose and this 'one up front' line gets trotted out over and over again.

Obviously I didn't see the game but the system on paper was exactly the same, the changes were in personnel at centre back. We obviously missed Watson and Ledger plus I think we are also lacking something in the final third. Disappointing result though after the last few weeks but no need to panic.

We played 4-3-3 today and had a brief flirt with 4-4-2 when Munns came on. Don't think that was the issue to be honest, just poor defending and shite LDB's to a 7ft full back.

No it's one up front at home 'negative' 'naïve' just when the result doesn't go right. Correct me if I'm wrong but we started most of the games earlier in the season with two out and out strikers and weren't we absolutely shite? We haven't go the players to play 4-4-2 in this League. if we were a big physical team then maybe, but we are not that.

How is complaining about playing 1 up front at home a lazy argument?, a valid point wouldn`t you say or would you play 1 up front against 2 central defenders, 1 of which we had here and was dogshit, that can only be described as yard dogs, that is if we even bothered scouting to find out!

It's not one up front it's 4-3-3. Franks, Oates and Donaldson were all selected as forwards.

If we play a front two how do we set up? Who are your wide players? Who plays in midfield? We had won 4 and drew 1 of the last 5 games playing that system. As soon as the result doesn't go our way it's the system that's the problem? We were missing out two centre backs today who have been the cornerstone of our upturn and we are probably lacking a bit of quality in the final third which the manager had stated he's trying address.
