Toasted homemade bread is the dogs, never really been a toast topper except for Lurpak but whilst on holiday had blackcurrant jam and I can`t stop myself with it, Bon Mamman or whatever is lush and got some marmalade at weekend and boy am I hooked, are there any readers who top there toast with oddities?

The kids have that chocolate spread but sticks to roof of mouth and claggy!

Brown's savoury, white's the treat.

'Course I'm the one who's laughing because I actually love brown toast.

Had some toasted wholemeal muffins this morning as change from the usual toast. Listened to a bit of Sonny Rollins while eating them. Nice.

Bovril out of a jar is the best toast topper ever.

As long as the marmalade wasn't Bonne Maman too. It's a complete abortion, opaque orange jam without the peel or bitterness, no relation to the real stuff.
La Bonne Maman is a great example of how good the French are at marketing food and perfume. Their jam is OK, but stick a bit of gingham on the lid and hey presto: connoisseur jam.

If you want decent jam get some St Dalfour, no added shit, just the fruit and pectin....which is from fruit
