Listening to the match on Tuesday and the Wrexham commentry where amazed Rodney made way when the subs where made. I would like him to lead the line for half a dozen games.

But people were slagging him off last Saturday saying he was out of his depth. He's had a little run of starts, his first ever starts, no harm in giving him a rest and to have him as an option off the bench. Donaldson should be up for it after being dropped as well.

Tricky one. As much as I was loving the effort from the whole team at Wrexham and we did create a couple of openings, if we want to win games something needs tweaking.

I thought Oates set the tone with his work rate, so not surprised he's starting.

Rodders, again, 100% effort. His head dropped a little beginning of second half and a few idiots got on his back but fair play he got it together again and could have won it. (By the way, the crowd rallied to his defence, which was pleasing.)

Donaldson cameo was decent though as he made a couple of direct runs in dangerous areas. No-one else had offered that until he came on.

I wouldn't like to be the manager but can see why he's made the change.

0-1 Franks 77 minutes.

Pretty poor from us I thought but I only saw 37 minutes as we had a fucking power cut :laugh:

It was 1-1 when it came back on though so maybe we need another one :laugh:

We had really little up front and didn't get hold of the game in midfield at all, they have a good front two to be fair, but goals change games!

2nd half we were quality. Oates ran himself into the ground and didn't give them a second. At the other end they couldn't touch us.

First half was shaky and we got done by that through ball 3 times before they scored, 2nd half was much tighter at the back.

Pools controlled the game really well. Unlucky rebound for their goal; these things happen.
Would have liked a bit more pressure on them after our 2nd but I'll take 2-1s like that any match.
