I'd be very happy with draws in the next two games.

Wrex 1 Poolies 1

Draw your away games, win your home games, and you'll be there or there abouts, it's not rocket science.

Like Dagenham game tomorrow has draw written all over it, Wrexham don't score many or concede many either, going to be wet and windy as well , but like Dagenham game a goal either way could decide it.

I fancy us to win at Orient.

2-3. Great away win with Scott Harrison bagging a hat-trick in his new role as a highly mobile centre forehead.

Ok then lets look over the last month.

Watson signs total out cry why are we signing a RB so he plays CH and is now the best signing and rightly so he has been outstanding.

Signing Franks outcry why are we doing this he is now our Top Scorer

How many times do we hear we were bullied thats why we lost.

So all i am saying at the moment we are very lightweight up front and some times like any other club you have to try some thing different look at Deverdics at LB has he let us down playing in that position.

Problem is a lot of people just dont rate Harrison how ever he might be able to do a job short term

Wrexham 4- Pools 8

CH stuns the Reds by playing a 3-2-5 formation. Simpson, Oates and Harrison bag a brace each and Franks and Rodney score the others.

Take that you Taffs for beating us 4-6 in 2005.

It was widely reported that he could play CH as well as RB when he was signed. He isn't out of position.

True, but he is and was a forward - he isn't playing out of position.

We just won three on the trot including beating the top of the table. Why make radical and unnecessary changes that include taking a punt on converting a struggling central defender into a striker?

So all i am saying at the moment we are very lightweight up front and some times like any other club you have to try some thing different look at Deverdics at LB has he let us down playing in that position.
No he hasn't, but given the way that modern full backs play midfield to full back isn't that outlandish anymore. Slow centre half to centre forehead would be a lot more extreme.

Problem is a lot of people just dont rate Harrison how ever he might be able to do a job short term
If the plan was to have an old fashioned cart horse type to fling long balls at when you're chasing the game in the last five minutes I could just about see your point but when would an out of form defender be a better bet than actual strikers for the whole match? It isn't as if he's been banging them in from corners is it?

From the vantage point of the stand, predicting a 1-0 defeat with the scorer being a seal..... It's a bit wet over here!

So we move up 2 places and have a clear gap from the bottom 4.

Only 6 points off the top.

I am sure most would take that now.

So far the need is that it's raining pretty hard, pitch isn't looking to bad although Featherstone is lucky his sliding tackle missed.... Wrexham not looking much cup to be honest, we've set up to contain and they're not really threatening much. We stayed just playing the channel balls for the forwards to chase but now we're realising they can't hurt us we're playing a bit more patient build up play. Rodney in particular looking good though the front three are all doing their bit. Woods got a couple of crafty fouls in when ref not looking. We could win this, more likely a set piece, but the defence is rarely troubled at the moment and you can see the confidence growing in the rest of the team as they realise the back for are so comfortable....

I see Celtic are getting hammered.

Which is music to the ears of the fellas I have been with today in Edinburgh who all wish they would fuck off to England and Europe.

Them and rangers are seriously unpopular up there.

Wrexham haven't conceded in the second-half this season. It'll have to be a great effort to pick up the three points here, it's not something I would rule out after Saturday - but I certainly wouldn't be prepared to put money on it.

Only conceded 1 goal in 4 games, and that was a freak one when we were already 3-0 up.

Rodney also shot straight at keeper, he probably had more time to set himself really, his head for a little after that and he went off for Donaldson and set list something then, he was staying a bit deeper while Rodney was looking to play on the defenders shoulder a bit more. Front three worked themselves into the ground, we didn't really do quite enough to deserve the win but Wrexham didn't offer anything to scare us and if they're one of the better sides we could get a few wins on the road , we set up to keep it tight and then started to show more ambition when they didn't know how to break us down. Mom Rodders the me, though Watson really did look a cut above, very assured, a proper defender....

Enjoyed that. Said to my brother on way back that we ran ourselves into the ground. Actually think we ran them into the ground. Really proud of the effort from every single player. Looked rock solid and created a few good chances to win it in the end. The cross bar is still shaking after being smashed and rodders probably should have scored. If that had been a Wrexham shot we'd be saying well saved keeper but would have be nice for us and the lad. Rodders also put in some decent crossed that just evaded outstretched feet.
Woods stood out. Defence great with Magnay making it look particularly easy.
Another point atleast on Saturday and it'll be a good weeks work.

I though we looked a very tidy and skillful team. We lacked the final ball most of the times but 100% effort and application.

Awful conditions to play football but I came away pleased with the performance.

That went to form then, a goalless draw in appalling conditions, for 2 teams who struggle to score. A good point though, and keeps the run going and the clean sheets.

More crazy results in the National League last night, last weeks top 3 are now 6th, 8th and 9th, mental !. Orient as erratic as they come, don't know if defeat for them last night is a good thing or not, in relation to Saturday's game, would probably have preferred them to have won , but regardless we go into that game with plenty of confidence.

Well done Poolies

And once again the Manager had a special mention for the travelling army of 132 Poolies who backed the team all the way this evening,

“The fans were excellent again on a horrible night like tonight and the lads have just been saying how much they could hear them throughout the game.

“We’re just really proud that they traveled all this way to support us and the players and myself are all really grateful to them all.”

Good turnout that , for probably the most difficult trip of the season. Not many clubs will bring that many to the Vic for a Saturday game this season.
