Real ale?

Now we are talking.

My favourite pastime is to accidentally miss my connecting train at York to spend a bit of time in my my favourite pub.

The York tap.

I will only drink real ale. You can keep all your John smiths and camerons trophy etc etc Crap.

If you join CAMRA, which cost me £17.00 ( pensioner!) you get all kinds of discounts plus £20.00 worth of 50p off a pint vouchers for all Weatherspoons pubs. I,ll be spending some more of mine in Keswick next week. Used some in King Johns last night....no brainer! :-D

Weatherspoons though?

A bit common innit?

And they always smell a bit rank.

I don,t like the one in hartlepool, they can,t pull a pint very well but I frequent Keswick quite often and the one there is excellent, about 10 casks to choose from and all well kept and served correctly.Ripon is good too.

Unaccustomed as I am to blowing my own trumpet but had a result on my first attempt at a Levain bread, no yeast at all and it was epic, the crust was tick and crunchy with a soft honeycomb texture centre, the flavour unique and ate half the bastard, whoop!

Made amazing bacon bread today, been on an overnight ferment, sourdough and it was the best thing ever, just waiting for the wholemeal walnut to finish proofing and then Bake, both will be available to taste at the meet the board event later.

As long as the kids get fizzy drinks and not warm milk then all will be good. Homemade butter does have a Monkeybutt worrying pun somewhere!!!! Hope it all goes well.

Not asking for a chef, merely a cook to work from predetermined menu, to be fair not a challenging role but for a starstruck type it would be a job with a pitched apron.
